Notified About

  • 15-89 Ethan Allen Homestead Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
A vehicle left 127 at a high rate of speed and destroyed fences on both sides of the 127 bike path just north of Ethan Allen Homestead. There is all sort of trash and car parts strewn down the embankment. Please fix this area!
  • 930-934 North Avenue Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
As a biker it would be wonderful to get the bike lanes swept along North Avenue. I understand that there is scheduled street sweeping in the Spring, but for those who use North Ave for bike travel at this time of the year it has become quite cumbersome. I have had two flats and fell once due to loose gravel. There is quite a build up of sand, rocks, and even glass. I would hate to have to deal with this for two more months on my daily commute.
  • 1-85 Ethan Allen Pkwy Burlington, VT 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
There are no bike racks anywhere near the playground. Lots of kids ride here but the only place to lock up is the trees.
  • 156 North Winooski Avenue Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
This section of the bike lane is very dangerous because there is no icon indicating that it is a Bike Lane. Also the alignment shifts bikers far to the right which creates confusion among drivers and greatly increases the likelihood of a right hook collision in which bikers are hurt or killed. The sloppiness of the paint job indicates that even Public Works employees are confused by this poorly designed intersection. I suggest that the existing markings be removed and that a safe, properly aligned stripe be put in. It is also essential that one or more bike lane signs be included in the design. Otherwise this will continue to be a very dangerous corner.
  • Curtis Ave Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
How does someone go about having DPW inspect sidewalks and try to get sidewalk repairs added to the City's schedule?
  • 148 N Union St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Please spruce up the wonderful bike lane barriers in the next couple of weeks . There are plenty to replace. It's going to be ongoing for a while to get this barrier to stick. Don't lose faith
  • North Winooski Ave Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
I counted 7 bicycles ( and 2 skateboarders) in 15 minutes going the wrong way down this one-way street, through the stop light at North and cutting off cars. If the city is going to spend tax money painting direction of travel arrows on these lanes, then they should be enforced. Calling the police doesn't work, and I have not heard of pro-active enforcement for bicycle violations ever in this city.
  • 135-145 East Avenue Burlington Vermont - Burlington Electric
This has been in place for years. Is there any plan in the future to remove it?
  • Center St Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Private sign set up on sidewalk creating an obstruction to pedestrian traffic
  • 66 Hungerford Terrace Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Vandalized and stolen stop sign from Bradley Street and Hungerford Terrace on second floor porch at this property.
  • 124-136 S Union St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
With the new bike lane system you now can't avoid the yucky perpetual puddle that is almost always here.
  • Bridge Over 127 From Ethan Allen Park Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric

The wooden bridge over 127 from Ethan Allen Park has algae growing on it and has become slick. It was not visibly wet, but my bike slipped out from under me as I was crossing (near the east/north end), and I have serious bruises and abrasions.

I think it should ideally have some sort of non-slip surface added (like the ends of the bridge to Oakledge), but in the meantime I suggest power-washing and/or installing a warning sign.
