  • North Union Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
the obstacles scattered all along north union street to delineate the bike lane pose Major hazards for motorcyclist. why are bicycle riders safety ahead of others in danger? Motorcyclists are people too.....if evasive action needs to be taken, a Motorcyclist will be hurt terribly, a bicycle rider can just bail off without a 500lb object landing om them...
  • Maple And Battery St Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
There are no pedestrian signals at Battery and Maple. This is a high volume intersection that needs dedicated pedestrian signals to allow people to safely cross including those that need extra time. This connects to the Burlington Bike Path on one side and should allow for better pedestrian experience. I had three cars cut me off trying to walk across this intersection. Two of them doing right on red.
  • 311-327 Pine Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric

Bike lanes city wide are lousy with a winter's worth of gravel, silt, litter and other debris which pose loss of control hazards and crash hazards.

Streets with significant pothole issues, e.g. Pine St and North Ave, are significantly worse as all the pothole debris gets pushed into the bike lanes. In some areas this has formed gravel mounds that are inches high.

  • 173-175 Main St Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
This is the 2nd time I've reported this. Homeless people camped by the dog park. I walk past and the are drinking, swearing, have open fires, piles of trash and dogs that I'm sure are unregistered. Why is nothing done about this? It's disgusting, unnerving and illegal. I will not let my girlfriend walk in that area alone. Very bad message we are sending to our residents and visitors alike. So in a day or two, this post will be marked as acknowledged and absolutely nothing will be done and in the fall my tax dollars will be used to pay the DPW to clean up the mess they leave behind. Stellar job BPD and Parks Dept, stellar!
  • 70 Cherry Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
After being told the problem was being rectified by Chapin Spencer, today there are 2 CCTA cars parked at meters UNPAID and 2 buses at the intersection of Cherry and Pine. 1 bus is at a meter unpaid and 1 parked in a no parking zone.
  • 194 North Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
We want to make you aware of a situation that has been brought to our attention from several residents at the buildings 188 and 194 North St. A large truck is consistently parked in the handicap space to the left of the driveway that is causing a shield effect for drivers exiting and entering this driveway. We recently have been notified of several accidents (cars) and near misses (pedestrians) caused by this large vehicle being parked there. We want to offer a suggestion to move this handicap space to the corner of North St. and Elmwood Avenue or on Elmwood Avenue in front of T. Ruggs. We would like to avoid future accidents since the common denominator has been this truck that people can not see over. Please for the safety of everyone consider this move!
  • 49 S Winooski Ave Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
The surface of this is dangerous. There is a raised ridge and then an uneven dip below the road level. This is another example of what is inadequate road repair throughout the city. It seems inefficient and expensive to repair road patches 2-3 times. What is the DPW's policy on this? It's worth noting that these are often Water Department repairs...is there a different set of expectations for different departments of repair?

61-77 Sears Ln Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
There has been a large camp here for several months and it has continued to expand.
  • 56-88 U.S. Route 2 Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Lots of debris in the bike lane at the intersection with Brookes ave, plus a bunch of broken glass on the block between Brookes & Loomis. The whole length of this bike lane could use some street sweeping.
  • 436-448 College Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
The College Street Bike Path ends at the intersection of College and South Prospect. It is very hard to activate the left turn signal to turn from College St onto South Prospect when using a bike. Since this is the end of the bike path and many bicyclists will turn left it would make sense to mark this area like what has been done at the exit of Trinity Campus on Colchester Ave at East Ave. Please place the marker as far to the left as possible to help bicyclists avoid vehicles trying to get around them.
  • 411 Colchester Avenue Burlington Vermont - Burlington Electric

The signage on the Colchester Ave bike lane is such that it allows residents to legally park in the lane at the top of the hill. The no parking needs to be moved down the hill to the point where the bike lane transitions from outside the parking to the curb. There is a section as seen in the photo where the car is legally parked according to the signs but blocks the bike lane causing bikes to have to swerve out into traffic while going up a busy steep hill. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW PARKING IN BIKE LANE!
