Notified About

  • South Willard Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Though the new rainbow crosswalk may look great, I believe that it violates the MUTCD rules concerning what colors can be used in road markings. See section 3A.04.
Also, is the paint retroreflective to be visible during the night?
Oh and section 3B.17 of the MUTCD states that when crosswalk lines are used, they shall consist of solid white lines that mark the crosswalk.
I'm not sure why this wasn't checked before we made this into such a public spectacle. The idea is great but the laws are the laws, especially on a state highway, I would think.
  • Riverside Ave Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Turning onto Riverside Ave from the Winooski Bridge, there is no Yellow Light, i have ran several Reds due to them changing with no warning.
  • Rose St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Speeding, peeling out, wheelies, etc are terrorizing our neighborhood and putting everyone's safety at risk. We need a solution like speed bumps or a permanent closing of Rose St. where it meets North St. (this would also solve the loading truck issue w/ JR's).
  • 16 Colchester Ave Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
This is a Tax exempt UVM building. UVM is neglecting it to the detriment of the building, the neighborhood, and the environment, not to mention its own brand and reputation. This is shameful and baffling.
  • 289 College St Burlington Vt 05401 United States - Burlington Electric
Dangerous road surface. This is not part of the big projects, but has been a problem for a long time. When is it estimated to be addressed?
  • 12 Oak Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
This property contains a number of abandoned vehicles (6). An additional abandoned vehicle was left on the property last month, a Subaru Outback. This may be an abandoned property in general. Please inspect this issue. Thank you!

  • 2 Leddy Park Road Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Poison ivy, Leddy Park, in area between soccer fields, racket courts, upper parking lot, playground and basketball court. The area is heavily used by local families, people walk through this area, and children chase balls into poison ivy infected areas. On weekend when there are soccer games, the area is packed with children. In contrast, an area next to Leddy arena that is rarely used is overly groomed. This area needs growth of trees and brush to prevent erosion of the soil which is causing the shoreline to erode. Trees are falling into the lake. There are dangerous sand cliffs that could give way. Needs to be roped off with warning signs, and growth allowed to recover to help stabilize the bank. Meanwhile, mowing needs to be done in the area of poison ivy. A grandmother told us her grandchild had been hospitalized with ivy skin poisoning after coming to watch a soccer game. NPA and Graffiti team painted a huge mural on back of old theater and requested a few picnic tables in the area to create family-friendly atmosphere.

Heineberg Road Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Heineberg Rd--a main artery for kids traveling to school (CP Smith and Hunt) currently has all 4 main corners that are blocked off--how are we supposed to safely walk/bike to/from school?
Why did this project start right when school was starting? How long until this is complete?
VERY frustrating dealing with this every morning and afternoon while trying to get kids safely to and from school.
  • North Ave Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
This mess is out of control. There is no way you can see a cyclist coming if you are turning N onto North Ave from the belt line.
  • Oakledge Park Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
Overflow parking is now parking right up against the south exit/entrance to the Bike Path from the Oakledge parking lot. Could not even squeeze by on either side. This is the second time I've encountered this situation in the past week. Assume it is from the numerous teams using the fields at the same time.
  • 27 Sears Ln Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
There is a growing camp in the wooded area behind Generator stretching into the parking lot behind Champlain College building. They have generators, semi-permanent structures, numerous vehicles. There are "guards" who are aggressively policing the area on bike and speeding cars, verbally threatening people passing by.
