I'm wanting to start biking again for the year but I'm a little rusty. Mem drive closures help me get back in the groove for biking in the summer season, and I would love nothing more than to bike traffic-free on this beautiful 70-some degree day. I noticed on various pages it looks like Mem drive is set to be closed on sundays, starting mid-April, but so far it hasn't been. : (

Just hoping it opens next week & weeks following!

There are new bike lane markings traveling eastbound from the BU bridge to memorial drive. The lane ends abruptly and feeds bike traffic directly on to memorial drive where there is no shoulder and cars are going 40MPH.

This is no ramp to safely get on the sidewalk.

Bike lanes should not abruptly end! Extend the bike lane to the next intersection where riders can safely get onto the bike path.

2-3 deep Gap connecting road to bike path. Caused a flat tire on my bike. Had to walk home.

Illegal Parking/ Bike Lane obstruction. there is a Uhaul dropbox completely blocking the bike lane. People on bicycles forced to dangerously ride into the street to go around.
Perhaps the design of this bike lane is confusing to delivery people who aren't familiar. The city could perhaps paint the lane or put the lane on a custom elevation so that it doesn't confuse the many people who park in it. The message the adjacent parking meter sends is also a mixed one.

Cars (especially Ubers and taxis) regularly stop in the bike lane in front of 1 Main Street and 101 Main Street. This is a particular issue because bikes are coming down off of the bridge, through an intersection with limited visibility, and are boxed in by the cars that are parked legally.

Sometimes in order to avoid the cars parked in the bike lanes, the bikes have to dodge into the car lanes which seems even more dangerous (at least it terrified me when I was driving along and suddenly, out of nowhere, there was a bike two feet in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and almost got hit by the car behind me.).

Me and my wife enjoy running and walking alongside the Charles River by Memorial Drive, usually between the BU Bridge and Mass Avenue. The stretch of land between the river and the walk path is full of waste, from sneakers to empty bottles, cans and plastic bags, from foam mattress pads to even rest of clothing. This has been the case since the construction by the river on Memorial finished some months ago. Can the City please send somebody to clean it up? It shouldn't be too resource-demanding to clean up this location which is heavily used by locals.

A car almost hit me at the crosswalk intersection even though I had the signal to cross. Can we please get enforcement to make sure drivers are stopping for the red light?

The pedestrian crossing request buttons both by the blue bikes and across the way are not working, so it is impossible to cue a walk signal when crossing Memorial Drive. Many people are forced to jaywalk between light changes, which is very unsafe.
