The neighborhood families feel helpless with controlling the dangers of speeders on Lynnhaven Drive. Difficult to enter or leave driveways or walk or ride bikes safely during peak traffic hours.

3701 Kecoughtan Road Hampton, VA - Downtown
the driveway from the parking lot to Kecoughtan has HUGE bushes on the right side that block the view to see if traffic is coming from LaSalle. I've asked the manager several times to trim them back or at least cut down the nearest one. "I have to check with corporate office"
  • 371 Barclay Rd Newport News, VA - Downtown
The timing of the lights on Warwick Blvd are inexcusable. If one is doing the speed limit, he or she should not have to stop at more than one light unless the intersection is major (J Clyde and Oyster Point eg.). The lights on Warwick are set up so you hit every one unless you drive like a maniac, in which case you can beat them. This is a dangerous recipe and a waste of our time and gas. Despite the city engineers claiming it is hard to do or it cannot be done, I know it can be done because I used to be able to get off 664 at 35th street and get all the way to Main Street at the speed limit and never hit a red light. Please retime those lights downtown to Main Street and continue the strategy all the way to Fort Eustis.
  • 715-727 Trails Lane Newport News 23608USA - Hampton
People are going in excess of 35-40mph down our street and the neighborhood is full of children. We need more signs i.e. children at play/slow/fines etc and increased police
    presence.

The bushes along Village Drive block the view of oncoming traffic when you are trying to turn from Raintree Drive.
  • 100 Blk Westbrook Dr(Turn West Off Of N. Armistead Ave) Hampton, Virginia - Mercury Central
About 50 ft. from N. Armistead ave. on 100 blk Westbrook Dr. there are several potholes (1 large and several small.) Please repair them.
  • 1525 N Mallory St Hampton, VA 23663, USA - Buckroe
The street sign for Whitaker Ave @ Mallory is blocked by branches of a Magnolia tree. The tree is large enough that to have these particular branches removed without promblems. When driving down Mallory, with the HRBT behind you, a driver can not visually see the sign until your right up on it. I have to use geographical info to direct people to my neighborhood. Although the tree is located well within private property, I believe it is the cities responsibility to enforce proper visualization of the sign. I understand its not criminal, but it is certainly a nuisance.
