  • 2979 Main St Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford
The new traffic lights and crosswalk designations at this intersection have made it very dangerous for pedestrians and vehicles exiting or entering the Little Red School. This intersection was already well known for collisions due to people over shooting and running the lights here, the fact that the new lights have been moved in the WRONG direction have exacerbated an already dangerous problem. The lights are now almost totally unreadable from BOTH driveways at 2979 and 2965 main street (The Little Red School). there have been 2-3 accidents here yearly and I myself was almost hit while walking across main street. In addition the new crosswalk painted designations were routed DIRECTLY into the driveway of 2965 main, supposedly for "wheel chair access"... if a car or worse an SUV is exiting this same driveway onto main street it creates a VERY VERY dangerous situation for an upright pedestrian in that crosswalk, never mind someone in a wheelchair who is 3 feet lower...
All in all this is a discracefull situation especially considering the local children who come and go on this property six days a week, The LEAST that can be done is to have 2 traffic lights installed on the existing installation facing the two driveways of The Little Red School of Art and Music. This would AT LEAST give the traffic exiting onto main street a chance to do it safely.
  • 1566 W Broad St Stratford, CT 06615, USA - Stratford
Spend one morning or evening at this intersection and you'll see why a left turn signal is needed at W. Broad & California/Knowlton. This is a huge problem! The intersection gets completely blocked, then when the light changes, no one can move...please vote to get this resolved!
  • 1544-1618 North Ave Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford
This section of North Ave off of Nichols Ave is the most awful section that has pot holes and patches of sections that have not been tended to.

  • 446-496 Barnum Avenue Cutoff Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford
The light to turn into HomeDepot either needs to be extended for north bound traffic on route 1, or the arrow only turn needs to be removed. The amount of traffic going into HomeDepot on a weekend (and most afternoons) backs up to the point at which it blocks the preceeding intersection.
  • 353-401 California St Stratford, CT 06615, USA - Stratford
Huge pothole on corner of California St. at intersection of Barnum Ave. and California St.
  • Broadbridge And Canaan Rd Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford
If you've ever come down Broadbridge you've been stuck at this light. There should be an arrow to turn left or the light should turn green for 30 seconds or more on the side coming from Boston Ave. If you want to turn left onto Canaan Road you can catch this light 3 to 4 times. People trying to turn here also cause the traffic to back up on Broadbridge, and often cut the light because they will get caught at the light again or risk turning in front of another car that always has to be in a big hurry to drive into the side of the turning car. This is such a dangerous situation.
  • 161-163 Helen St Bridgeport, Connecticut - Bridgeport
  • 41.198707 -73.099448 - Milford
The traffic light at the intersection of Naugatuck Ave. and Baldwin St. should have a left turn arrow for the north-bound traffic. There is a delayed green for south-bound traffic to allow north-bound traffic to turn left. However, without a left turn arrow for the north-bound traffic, it is not clear when the south-bound traffic’s light will change to green. A simple green arrow would indicate to drivers that they have the right-of-way to turn left. Once the south-bound traffic gets a green light, the arrow would turn off and vehicles would know that they must now wait for a break in the traffic to turn left.

  • 305-319 Veterans Blvd Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford
There is a sidewalk from Main Street to the Bridge
over Rail Road tracks by Marshalls / Home Depot.
Across street there are sidewalks for people who
take the BUS in front of WalMart-Home Depot.
From the Bridge to Marshall's entrance and beyond
the is NO sidewalk and POOR LIGHTING.
    - It is a STATE ROAD!
    - Pedestrians and Bike Riders could be hit?
    - McDonald's + Movie Theaters nearby attract teens, who walk / ride bikes and poor who don't
    drive, but depend on BUS.
This is a FATALITY waiting to Happen!

We have a healthy tree in front the home and one tenant keeps calling to remove it
It has small rot but it’s been like that for the 20 years I lived here. It blooms beautiful in the spring and has beautiful colors in the fall.
It survived every major storm without losing limbs including hurricane sandy and the neighbors love the tree.
It’s a small rot hole that can be filled properly and it’s one of 4 trees left on the street.
Next door there are 3 American dogwoods that partner it.
The tree is I believe is a crimson maple.
I’ve been in the herbicide tree business since 2008 and I have a pesticide applicator license from the DEEP and I know the tree is not an issue.
I asked the tenant why they called and the response was because they park their car under the tree.
We’re a close friendly community with blue collar workers,Vietnam vets and senior citizens.
The tree was pruned by United illuminating 3 years ago to keep from touching the wires and the tree filled in nice.
The same tenant called this year to UI to complain about the tree and they came and said it’s fine nothing is wrong and canceled the work order.
The tree is valued among us.
    Thank you for your time.
