I am a public watcher interested in fixing issues as quickly as possible after they arise. I don't "fixes" that do not permanently address the problem, nor do I want the fix to take so long that it creates an issue of its own.

  • 2625 Ashtynn Pl 35803 Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
5-7 non registered vehicles on property and street. Along with 2 trailers. And a full size dumpster.
Community eye sore and possibly a liability due to lane blockage and traffic coming and going. All cars have a dealer tag. Same home has a motorcycle going up and down street.

What is it going to take for some form of enforcement on speeding issues on Chicamauga Trail!!! Wreck, injury, the news!

The issue was closed by the city but no information regarding the issue. The speeding is getting ridiculous. What about a speed sign that lights up and takes pictures of license plates and shows speed, traffic patrol, redirection of traffic, more speed bumps, something.

This property continues to be a nuisance to the neighborhood due to an absentee landlord. The vacant house is now being used by individuals "cleaning" the property overnight. I doubt much cleaning is happening at 12:30 AM when we hear someone banging on the door to be let inside. To our knowledge no one has rented the property, so why are people there overnight?
  • 503 Weatherly Rd Se Huntsville, AL, 35803, USA - Huntsville
Upon completion of the sidewalk upgrade & paving of Valley View Dr, the work-crew deposited leftover asphalt material onto the corner of VV & Weatherly RD, near the Stop sign. {I understand from the City I am responsible for upkeep of this area & will do so, mowing it & clipping tree branches to maintain visibility for traffic.} It is a small mess, but problematic. If you could have a crew simply clear off the asphalt material thrown about, I can & will take it from there... no replanting required.
However, you might inspect the level of finish & debris left at where the sidewalk was modified - is that up to spec? Thanks,

    Lamp broken

I'm requesting an additional street light be installed between 2404 and 2410 Hobbstone Circle Huntsville AL 35803 in the Eastgate Subdivision. It is significantly darker between those houses at night due to the lack of a street light. Thank you.

A telcom contractor is adding more cable to an old pole marked for over a year to be replaced and is being held up to the new pole with wire. Why doesn't the city enforce the agreement with these companies and force them to move their lines to the new poles?
  • 9741 Wallwood Dr Se Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Last year a contractor for AT&T dug a hole for their equipment next to the sidewalk which caused the gravel bed to fall into the hole. The contractor did not replace the gravel under the sidewalk. This year a contractor for Xfinity broke a water line install their cable. When Huntsville Utilities came to repair the line they had to dig on the other side of the same section of sidewalk where the AT&T contractor had dug. Now the entire section of sidewalk is slowing falling into the void.
  • 908 Southeast California Street Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
The tennis courts at California Street Park need some attention. Leaves and debris stay on the courts year round. Mud washes onto the courts during heavy rain. The asphalt path from the parking lot has been raised by tree roots creating a tripping hazard. A simple fix for the courts would be to have the landscaping crew blow them off each time they mow the surrounding grass area.
  • 3900 Hawthorne Avenue Southwest (Pine Park) Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
    Pavilion missing in city park.
The sun beats down on the metal tables and makes it so citizens feel obligated to move them into the shade and not return them to the pads.
As seen in most all other parks with playgrounds, a pavilion would be a more than welcomed addition to our communities park.
Fixing this issue would help the safety of our families.
