WE have not heard where and what time this "hearing" will be taking place tomorrow in regards to the old Sugar Room.

We receive letters from the city - property owners time after time when someone wants to add on to their house or build a new house, why are we NOT getting letters about this unwanted business in our neighborhood??

Can someone please let us know where to go so WE the neighborhood have a voice. Thank you

The trash container belonging to this house is always on the easement in front of the home. At the present time, there are bags filled with trash on the ground surrounding the container as well as discarded furniture. Please address the container situation. I will ask Sanitation to pick up the furniture.

A jungle! Since the owner Kevin Farrow would not mow his property the city came and did it today and they did a wonderful job, now we need to see if we can get the owner Kevin Farrow to come and cut the overgrowth!

There are two extremely aggressive pit bulls that live at 673 Paris Avenue South. Both dogs are repeat offenders of getting out by way of holes in the raggedy, flimsy, wooden fence in the backyard. To see the hole in the fence, your attendant needs to go in the ALLEY BEHIND THE HOME, that’s where they get out at. The bigger hole is located behind the home, on the west side of the property.
I live on 16th Avenue South. On Friday, 03/29/19, at approximately 7:30 p.m., my minor son and I were minding our business in MY FRONT YARD, when we were charged by both dogs. My son and I were able to escape being bitten/mauled due to me throwing my yard landscaping rocks at them. After they ran off, I got in my car and followed them to see where they would go. They ended up going to the 673 address, I’ve seen them inside the fence on and off since last Friday.
On Monday, 04/01/19, I just happened to see one of the neighbors who verified that these dogs get out on a regular basis. They also informed me that they are unable to take their trash out because they are afraid they may get attacked. I was also informed a police report was generated, related to them attacking someone in 2018. The scary part is one of the neighbors I saw is an elderly lady.
It’s like the current tenants/owners of the dogs, DON’T TRY to keep them contained. Since the day they charged at me, I’ve been watching them. They are now escaping daily. The brown one was out earlier this morning 04/03/19.
Something needs to be done about the tenants and their lack of responsibility and the animals because we don’t want to be bitten/mauled before action is taken. From my understanding this has been going on for almost a year now.
Why should a person’s safety be sacrificed? You guys need to be PROACTIVE with this and not reactive about this issue.

The fence is old and rotten with holes in it and their 2 vicious dogs just got out and attacked the neighbors tonight.

Empty lot has become a dumping site. Debris and furniture that has been discarded in the lot is spilling over into the alley. Several furniture pieces are in the lot and alley.

On February 22 I reported that this was a rental and that it had no screens and had windows that didn’t open and the inside is atrocious, bug infested and disgusting. The Code Officer decided to close this case as “invalid complaint“ because the property is currently vacant. Well that certainly makes sense but is she going to monitor this complaint when he puts new tenants in there? Also I have been told by many a code officer that once the property is rented they cannot enter without the tenants or the landlords permission, so I was told to notify them when questionable places were vacant. So which is it… When can the code officer do their job… When the property is vacant or when it’s occupied??! It’s clear from the amount of posts on this site that we are trying to rid this neighborhood of these horrible slumlords… I wish the codes department would work with us and not against us!

This mound of debris is breeding a mold problem. The yards all around this vacant lot are growing mold and causing health issues. There is a continuing unpleasant odor especially after it rains. This needs to be tested and removed ASAP. Thank you.

Illegal strip club. Operating for 6 months! Breaking numerous laws including HB369 which states it's illegal to operate a strip club without having at least two signs referencing human trafficking. How many more laws does this club have to violate before the city is going to do something?

Since the city had to come and mow this property owned by Kevin Farrow maybe now the owner Kevin Farrow can come and pick up the trash that's on his lot!
