Sushi INC is not complying with the side walk café permit code of ordinances. according to 16.50.370.7 section 2 "Side walk cafes are RESTRICTED to the sidewalk FRONTAGE of the abutting business establishment to which a permit has been issued.".
If these ordinances are not enforced then what is the point, this is America and we have laws to be followed.
Not cleaning up after dog. This nice individual's dog pooped and he did not pick it up. When I asked him about it he got very loud and angry with me (as you can see from his gesture in the picture) and said is a free country and I should mind my own business. I am sick and tired of cleaning up other people's dog poop. I have always thought the people I was cleaning up after were probably not very good people and he certainly did not disappoint. There was not one ounce of feeling it was wrong in any way in him. It is really sad. Does anyone know who this is. Also, I flagged a cop down who was happening to drive by and he said it was a civil matter and took off. Is that correct? Don't people get tickets or citations for something for this? Who writes them?
I am a city resident who spends a great deal of time on Beach Drive. I spend time and money in restaurants and shops and am APALLED that the new Stillwaters Restaurant is allowed to confiscate a full city block of PRIME street parking at night. Parking in the downtown area is already at a premium and frequently difficult to get (I am not a fan of parking garages, as a single woman after 9:00 p.m. I find them scary and dangerous). The unfortunate answer for me will be to not utilize all of the really amazing shops and restaurants downtown as I would much rather pay a parking meter (money needed by the city) than tip a valet parking attendant which is only a viable solution for the time I spend in the restaurant. If I want to go to any other downtown business after dinner I have to find new parking. I am not opposed to any restaurant using 1 or 2 spots for incoming parking but 11 or more is outrageous and should not be allowed.
I reported this last year this year and since AER now Camden pier district apartments were constructed this post always gets close out saying it's a duplicate I want to know if it is a duplicate what is being done with it because this is going on for two years now.
I was thrown from my wheelchair into the bushes by a crack and depression in the sidewalk last night. An employee from the Marriott rescued me. There is no street lighting on this side, so I did not see the extent of the sidewalk damage. About 10 feet West is another bad section which is equally dangerous.
I walk by this property every day and it is more disgusting from one day to the next. Overgrown weeds, downed tree limbs from the hurricane, filth and garbage in the exterior foyer spilling out into the sidewalk. I know this is private property but surely the city can cite someone for these issues. Thank you.
I spoke to the man pictured in the attached image on the corner of beach drive and 2nd ave N in downtown st. pete today. I tried to get more information about the VETSS organization since I had never heard of it and he wouldn't provide any details and became short with me in his responses. I searched the veterans effort to stop suicides foundation online and found no results. I also searched the irs database of charities and found no information about VETSS. The gentleman is at this location often. If his charity is a fake, people should know about it.
Something has got to be done about the homeless people in this area, Daystar has outgrown their space. The homeless are staying in this area to get their services, I just put cameras in front of my house a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how many videos I have of people peeing in front of my house. The city has got to address the homeless and clean up this area.
