  • 430 3rd Ave N St Petersburg, Florida - Downtown Neighborhood Association
I was thrown from my wheelchair into the bushes by a crack and depression in the sidewalk last night. An employee from the Marriott rescued me. There is no street lighting on this side, so I did not see the extent of the sidewalk damage. About 10 feet West is another bad section which is equally dangerous.

204 Beach Drive Northeast Saint Petersburg, Florida - Downtown Neighborhood Association
I am a city resident who spends a great deal of time on Beach Drive. I spend time and money in restaurants and shops and am APALLED that the new Stillwaters Restaurant is allowed to confiscate a full city block of PRIME street parking at night. Parking in the downtown area is already at a premium and frequently difficult to get (I am not a fan of parking garages, as a single woman after 9:00 p.m. I find them scary and dangerous). The unfortunate answer for me will be to not utilize all of the really amazing shops and restaurants downtown as I would much rather pay a parking meter (money needed by the city) than tip a valet parking attendant which is only a viable solution for the time I spend in the restaurant. If I want to go to any other downtown business after dinner I have to find new parking. I am not opposed to any restaurant using 1 or 2 spots for incoming parking but 11 or more is outrageous and should not be allowed.

  • 660 3rd Ave S St. Petersburg, FL 33701, USA - Downtown Neighborhood Association
Loose hex blocks. Some broken. Safety hazard for pedestrians. Problem could be caused by cars driving over the sidewalk to get to empty lot just west of this building.

  • 600 Charles Court South Saint Petersburg, Florida - Downtown Neighborhood Association

What can I do to stop the garbarge picking? I didnt mind for the first 6 months i lived here, but just last night my vehicle was broken into and im fed up with the alley looking like a dump. I only rent here, but I have to live here for 8 months, was solutions can you offer me to prevent being woken up at all hour of the night by the dumpster diving, the high homeless stumbling up and down the alley, and possibly submit a request to have the dumpster relocated to the street 6th or 7th like the rest of the charles court.

I want to be proactive and try to at least keep my street looking clean....Can I request one of those flashing strobes be installed?

Any advice would be tremendous i hit my last nerve with this...we live in st. petersburg not the landfill...

  • City Hall St. Petersburg, FL - Downtown Neighborhood Association

Some Idiots put a Rainbow Flag on City Halls Flag Pole and the degenerates didn't poll the people. This is despicable....

The Mayor and Council should be RECALLED Immediately !

  • Central Ave & 1st St Ne Saint Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Downtown Neighborhood Association
Right in the middle of the intersection of Central Ave and 1st St there is a pothole. Ironically in the last week there was been roadwork done on 1st Street, 1st Ave and Central - llterally all around the pothole but it was left as is which for those of us who live and work and use that interescetion several times a day is hard to avoid.

1 Beach Dr Se 2703-04 Saint Petersburg 33701, United States - Downtown Neighborhood Association
Contractors (Beck is the worst offender) are taking up large portion of parking on 4 and 3 is routinely, every morning, blocked with cones for monthly parkers. Finding a spot is increasingly difficult. The Southcore dev assistance agreement notes contractor trucks should be on 7. People who pay monthly to park are being blocked out of parking. Why block 3 from paying clients?

The plane flying at low altitude over residential neighborhoods advertising GEICO insurance is noise pollution. This goes on for hours before the Rays games. You can't carry on a conversation outside when it is overhead and it vibrates the walls inside my house. Listen to the video.
