NA - Old Southeast Neighborhood Association PLUS

First noticed the small but deep hole on September 3rd. My friend drove into it, and their car got stuck. The bumper and tire rods broke. I filled the hole that day with dirt. Now, two days later, after the sudden heavy rain, it has expanded by about 3 feet wide and is very deep now, maybe more than 3 feet. POSSIBLE PIPE BUSTED OR SINKHOLE. If it widens anymore, residents that only have parking in the alley, with one outlet, will be stuck in the alley.

For a couple of weeks now, this resident is allowing another individual to sell car washes in the driveway of the home and on the street for money. There are always cars blocking both sides of First St. S and since it's reclaimed water it looks like he thinks he can use as much as he wants.

I live in Old Southeast near 19th and 2nd, several blocks from Bartlett Park. The football games on Saturdays are too loud; the announcer uses a bullhorn or PA system and shouts into it all day. The noise is extremely irritating and can be heard blocks and blocks away. In my living room with the windows shut and the TV on, I can still hear it! It's unnecessarily loud, disruptive to the surrounding neighborhoods, and goes on ALL DAY. Please address this issue with whatever group is using the park: Turn it down, use another park without proximity to neighborhoods, or find another location altogether.

I called the SP police and they said, "Well, it's a football game." That's irrelevant: it could be Shakespeare in the Park for all I care. I and my neighbors shouldn't have to suffer this kind of noise pollution in and around our own homes. Thanks.

This is my first SeeClickFix entry. We moved to here in 1993 and 2/3s of the Lansing Park has been eroded. Most of the park is a sandbar out from the park itself. Also, the park is sloping down so everytime it rains land is being eroded. I have many more pictures too. Is there a plan to build our park back up before it eventual gets into our homes? PLEASE, can we please get this fixed?

2 cars no license and a derelict boat. Trash in yard for months and unkempt grass and shrubs

The alley between 20th and 21st and Beach and Bay SE is in need of some serious attention: blading and surfacing.

The crosswalk signal at 18th Avenue and 4th Street is inoperative on the east side almost all the time. It is a serious public safety hazard in that folks on the west side push the button, see their flasher working but when crossing the street may nearly be run down by oncoming traffic in the east lane because the signal is out, like my wife and I this morning. This has been reported before, and the signal has worked for a day or so, either because of luck or City action, probably the former as I am sure the City would have fixed it, if it observed it not working. Occasionally it still works for a few hours; I think when it is raining, but who knows? If City inspectors find it working, have them check it everyday until it doesn't. As an engineer, I know it is hard to fix something if it is working at the time you are there. Thanks for your assistance.
