So talking to the city, I found out that these two cans belong to the restaurant that took over the space that use to be OMG at 412 n 25th. This is how the business is managing their waste disposal. At best, it's being a disrespectful neighbor. At worse, it's a disregard for the health and safety of the neighborhood. Some of these boxes had food in them now they are just thrown haphazardly on the ground and can attract rats, opossums and other scavengers. Please manage this situation ASAP!

New bicycle rack install is too close to curb, or lack of curb, with the new back-in parking. One bicycle has already been damaged. Thanks for your time.

Front porch construction was started over a month ago and abandoned. Railing is not attached to proch and has been sitting in the front yard since abandonment. A plastic tarp drapes the entire front porch and is weighed down with bricks in an apparent attempt to protect the wood. This is causing excessive blight to the block and seems to violate Code 304.1 that explicitly states "The exterior of a structure shall be maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary..."

There are TWO abandoned cars in the 2500 block of east Clay Street, Parked near each other, and neither car has any visible LICENSE plate. Could they be stolen? One of these cars has been there over a month, and has had a completely flat tire the entire time.

The street lamp was "beheaded" and smashed all over the sidewalk. Glass shards are everywhere.

Motor vehicles, boats, and campers are continually parked "Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection" after the installation of the traffic circles impeding the flow of traffic. See, Richmond Code Sec. 102-222.

The lights at the two intersections of Jefferson/Marshall/21st and 21st and Broad are timed such that northbound traffic on 21st at Broad cannot turn left (no turn arrow) due to the green light release from southbound 21st at Jefferson being roughly 15 seconds ahead of the 21st/Broad light. At rush hour this is a heavily used intersection, and often only one or two cars can get through per each light cycle.

The root of the tree in the city tree well has broken the bricks in the sidewalk in front of my house. I stepped on these loose bricks this past Saturday and Quite literally broke my foot. I would rather nobody else be injured as a result of these unsafe and displaced sidewalk bricks.

This is an ongoing issue. We on the block are puzzled by the fact that this house is condemned and has been posted so several time, even the door boarded up only to have the owner defy the city and occupy a house not coded for occupancy. We understand from real estate agents that there are no less than 17 different liens against the property and the bank locked the owner out of the house but again, they remain in it? Now the city is helping to bring it up to code? She had/has insurance money to fix it so why is the city (or ANY organization) paying the bill to fix something the owner could have done themselves? And is not even supposed to be in the house?

I see people with their dogs off leash here daily. Most of the dogs are not under good verbal control by their owners. This is a potentially dangerous issue that needs to be addressed. There is a dog park just a few blocks away so there is really no excuse for it.

This was previously reported as "Potholes" and was acknowledged and closed by the City of Richmond System after Roland E. Harris commented "this belong [sic] on the alley list not street pothole. will put on the alley list."

This house has a non CHA and historic Richmond plaque of the front of its house. It does not match the other CHA plaques in the neighborhood.

Please have citizen to take down the plaque and order a proper one from Historic Richmond Foundation. If everyone made a makeshift plaque without doing the proper research that is conducted by the Historic Richmond Foundation then these neighborhood plaques do not mean anything and their authenticity cannot be trusted.

Here is a link to the CHA page and Historic Richmond Foundation page:
