Corner of Main st. and Capitol ave. Big Belly trash receptacle full - has been blinking red for at least 4 days now and cannot be opened even a crack to put anything new in. I thought these sent a signal to DPW when they needed to be emptied? Thanks

The street lights in front to 312 to 318 Farmington Ave our out due the the construction by MDC. The tenants in the businesses are concern due to the day light hours are shorter.
  • 25 Capitol Avenue Hartford, CT - Downtown
City inadvertently closed storm drain when fixing sinkhole at corner of Whitman Ct and 25 Capitol Avenue. This creates an unsafe condition of water (later ice) on public sidewalk and, if not corrected, will damage the downstairs residence and foundation.
  • Pothole Archived
Main Street Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
Please fix main streets horrible potholes! These are located in the north end and south end, for some odd reason downtown main street has perfect roads with minimal potholes and its like the city doesn't care about the north and south ends road conditions, maybe because people mainly work there and visit downtowns attractions? This isn't fair to the north and south end residents! There isn't any exact addresses because its the whole part of both ends. They have only been filled with tar making the roads more uneven and bumpy with tiny rocks flying up hitting your car as you pass over the filled holes! I've had my car in for repairs because of this issue and ended up cracking my motor resulting in having to buy a new car among other repairs such as alignments, cracked oil pan and my windshield even cracked from impact. Please assess these two areas carefully and ppave, not just fill the holes!
  • Union Place Hartford, CT - Downtown

There is an unreadable, unusable map on the lower, main level of Union Station. The image is so pixelated you can't read street names.

A couple friends rode the train up from New Haven last weekend and reported this. I've also seen it in person. They came to Hartford to go to the Twain house and had to orient themselves with absolutely no help from this terrible map.

You see stuff like this in the city and wonder whether anyone is actually serious about ever inviting other people to visit here. Having such a map in place sends a clear and obvious message to 'outsiders' that if you don't already know you're way around, why bother? If iQuilt signs are throughout the city, and it is about walking, then why not at Union Station? These friends, Brits, walked down Farmington to the Twain house with 0 help from the city's infrastructure. Nuts, and what a missed opportunity.

  • Columbus Blvd Hartford, CT - Downtown
Multiple potholes as you exit founders bridge and turn left onto Columbus blvd. I work at travelers and it's getting worse by the day
  • Pothole Archived
131-177 Pearl Street Hartford, CT 06103, USA - Downtown
This is more like a pot in a hole. Looks like the cover cracked & came off of some kind of pipe. About 1 ft in diameter (see shoe in photo for reference ) and 6 inches deep, full of water & debris. A pedestrian as well as vehicle hazard.
  • Parks Acknowledged
63-69 Jewell Street Hartford, CT 06103, USA - Downtown
Bumpy and torn, almost unusable. Tripping hazard. (Now would be a good time to refresh the whole playground). I have additional pics.
  • 391 Main St. Hartford, CT - Downtown
Corner of Main St. and Capitol Ave. at the Royal Masala Restaurant. Graffiti appeared on the brick building sometime in the last 48 hours.
  • 40 Capitol Hartford, CT - Downtown
Robberies are frequent on Capitol Ave. Another family was robbed last night at Peppercorns. They said they will not likely return to Hartford and wish Peppercorns was located elsewhere. There are 4 different spots of broken glass. Looks like a war zone. I will try to load all 4 pictures.
