Notified About

  • Temple St. New Haven, CT - Town_Green
I recently noticed that the weathervane on the top of Center Church on the Green appears to be precariously leaning...
  • 62 High St New Haven, CT 06511 - Downtown

Has Skull and Bones been abandoned? Because it sure looks that way.

Three fence posts are broken, and the weeds out front are 4-5 feet high. (no, that's not a flower garden). The ivy underneath is being choked to death.

Does anyone know how to reach the President of Skull and Bones? Don't tell me, it's a secret!

  • Wall St 65 New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown
    please remove!
  • Bike Thefts Archived
100 Wall St New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown

There has been a rash of bicycle thefts downtown and in Wooster Square lately (as there is every summer). My rear tire and gear set were stolen off my bike while locked to a bike rack for a short while on College Street. If you walk around downtown you can see all of the bikes that have been gutted and abandoned because of missing parts.

Not that the city can or will do anything, but I thought the issue should be represented here since it's so widespread.

  • 118-146 Church St New Haven, CT 06510, USA - Downtown

racist and abusive behavior by a metro taxi driver should result in his termination. Metro Taxi cab number 181 spewed racist remarks and spit on a child.

boycott metro taxi until this man is fired for his unacceptable actions.

(calls to headquarters to discuss this matter have not been returned.)

  • 927-999 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Downtown
The pedestrian signal at the corner of Chapel and College is slow or unresponsive. While the light is green for traffic on Chapel street I press the walk button.. After the light turns red then the light turns green for traffic on College street.. Then the light turn green for traffic on Chapel street again.. That is unacceptable. Who is really going to wait for that.
  • 288-294 Temple Street New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Downtown

Mayor's Car in No Standing Anytime Zone

It has been in this non-spot over 30 minutes at a busy intersection. Plenty of open spots downtown. Where's her $30 ticket? New Haven could sure use the revenue, whether from the ticket or the metered spots she's avoided.

  • Elizabeth Ann Drive cross street Clarendon & Mass Ave, New Haven, CT - Downtown
A new street was put in during the Fall, but the curb is now below the black top. Last snow storm the plow took approximately 4-5ft of the front property. I've made several calls to the city, left message, and no one calls back. I've even been in contact with the Alderman. Can someone please comeout and put a sawhorse, cone, anything before the next snow fall so I don't have a muddy mess again. I totally understand that a curb cannot be put in until the weather is warmer, but my front lawn looks like a mud pit.
  • 250 Temple Street New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Downtown
An u-n-s-o-l-v-a-b-l-e problem of filth on the once proud but now abandoned New Haven Green.
The city, the citizens, the institutions, the heavily overburdened taxpayers have thrown in the towel and given the Green up to squalor, human waste, trash. And the beauty and wide community enjoyment of the Green is never coming back.
And on Thursday, a lovely early summer day, near lunchtime, a grown man, shirtless and disheveled, unzipped his pants, unbuckled his belt, and urinated into the fountain.
And the reaction? There was none. Because we've given the Green over to this, and now such is normal.
  • 1020 Chapel New Haven, Connecticut - Town_Green
Why do the police allow trucks to double park on Elm street ( Both Sides at the same time) during rush hour. Deliveries to Yale should not inconvenience the rest of the city.
  • Church And Elm New Haven, CT - Town_Green
The dedicated pedestrian phase on all sides of the intersection is not getting called. Please fix the controller.
  • 69 High St New Haven, CT 06511 - Downtown
It is illegal for bicyclists to ride the wrong direction on one-way streets; yet bicyclists do it all the time at Yale (see photo). This is a safety hazard to bicyclists, drivers, and pedestrians.
