Notified About

  • 3200-3298 East Kalamazoo Street Lansing, MI - Lansing
I understand that the City of E. Lansing will be resurfacing Kalamazoo St. east of the bridge over the Red Cedar here; haven't heard anyone mention if Kalamazoo west of the bridge is going to be resurfaced which it desperately needs. The potholes and broken up pavement, particularly in the east-bound lane, are really bad from S. Clippert all the way to the bridge.
  • 1118 Dakin Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This property is a mess they hide their trash in all the leafs, not to mention the over growth of weeds, grass etc. Code Compliance has been called several times in the past 2 months and nothing is being done. What good is this site is it just to make people feel like they are being heard?
  • 300 And 304 S. Clemens Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing

The landlord who owns 300 and 304 S. Clemens Ave. has left trash, debris, appliances, and building materials sitting out in the backyards of these properties for nearly two years now. Season after season, I have watched these piles of trash and debris get covered in rain, sleet, snow, and bleached in the sun for too long.

I am not sure if the landlord intends to build a porch out of the (now) 2 year old rotted porch pieces that he has thrown in the backyard, or what. He has continued to let them just sit there, rotting away.

He began some work on the back off 300 S. Clemens, but has yet to complete this work. For nearly a year, a trailer full of trash and other debris has been sitting in the back yard, along with a smaller trailer. An old TV has also been sitting out there for the same amount of time.

I have also seen these properties get temporarily sited by Code Compliance in the past, yet somehow this landlord manages to "fix" these problems and continues to rent these properties. Even while still "working" on the back of 300 S. Clemens.

I would appreciate if the City would address this issue seriously and deal with it in a timely manner. Thank you.

  • Junk Yard Archived
1512 Lyons Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This person has been maintaining a junk yard at this address for the last year or so in his backyard. He receives delivery of junk from trucks on a weekly basis. Early in the morning he goes behind an abandoned house (1530 Lyons Ave.) retrieves two city trash barrels from that address, fills them with the junk he doesn't want and sets them out to be picked up on trash day. Isn't that illegal? His total back yard, side and front yard is nothing but a constant eye sore everyday and can be seen CLEARLY from the street. As far as I know, this neighborhood is not zoned for a commercial junk yard. Please have someone come and check this address out. This is NOT the first complaint I've made concerning this address. But it doesn't appear that anything was done about that first complaint
  • 138 Regent St Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This house was damaged in the ice storm of 2013 and continues to sit in it's dumpy damaged state. You can currently see ice/frost inside the windows, many windows are broken, and the big gaping hole in the roof certainly is not a good thing. Who do we need to contact to have something done about this property?
  • 1107-1109 South Washington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
After the last several weeks of cold weather the snow has piled up on the northern half of the 1100 block of South Washington. Parking is somewhat limited to begin with but has been further reduced by snow accumulation and access to local businesses from street parking has become difficult and dangerous.
