Notified About

  • 814 Samantha Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Van was red tagged but owner moved to house driveway and has now covered top of van and where tag was, as she removed it. Still doesn't have current tags. She also has 2 more vehicles at her other house at the corner of Samantha and Southgate,4504 Southgate. This house also has many faults, porch railing, trash weeds along fence and much much more. It is a mess to look at. Please help to get this cleaned up
  • Junk Yard Archived
1512 Lyons Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This person has been maintaining a junk yard at this address for the last year or so in his backyard. He receives delivery of junk from trucks on a weekly basis. Early in the morning he goes behind an abandoned house (1530 Lyons Ave.) retrieves two city trash barrels from that address, fills them with the junk he doesn't want and sets them out to be picked up on trash day. Isn't that illegal? His total back yard, side and front yard is nothing but a constant eye sore everyday and can be seen CLEARLY from the street. As far as I know, this neighborhood is not zoned for a commercial junk yard. Please have someone come and check this address out. This is NOT the first complaint I've made concerning this address. But it doesn't appear that anything was done about that first complaint
  • 1118-1132 South Washington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Someone (possibly during winter) ran over the median on South Washington in REO town, damaging the electrical controller and water valve for the watering (?) system. Additionally, two new trees were destroyed. Water is not actively leaking, but I cannot be sure that the system is working normally (I haven't seen the sprinklers on this year yet). In any cases, boxes and trees should be replaced.
  • 3299-3499 Collins Road Lansing, MI - Michigan State University
The right side of Collins road from Dunkle to Forest has a seam/crack running most of the way that needs filling. The seam has no impact on auto traffic, however for those of us that cycle to MSU from work or classes, it is very dangerous. It is wider than a bike tire most of the way, causing tires to sink into the gap and causes riders to be thrown from their bikes. Please consider patching this, even if it is just the hot liquid tar filler.
  • 300 And 304 S. Clemens Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing

The landlord who owns 300 and 304 S. Clemens Ave. has left trash, debris, appliances, and building materials sitting out in the backyards of these properties for nearly two years now. Season after season, I have watched these piles of trash and debris get covered in rain, sleet, snow, and bleached in the sun for too long.

I am not sure if the landlord intends to build a porch out of the (now) 2 year old rotted porch pieces that he has thrown in the backyard, or what. He has continued to let them just sit there, rotting away.

He began some work on the back off 300 S. Clemens, but has yet to complete this work. For nearly a year, a trailer full of trash and other debris has been sitting in the back yard, along with a smaller trailer. An old TV has also been sitting out there for the same amount of time.

I have also seen these properties get temporarily sited by Code Compliance in the past, yet somehow this landlord manages to "fix" these problems and continues to rent these properties. Even while still "working" on the back of 300 S. Clemens.

I would appreciate if the City would address this issue seriously and deal with it in a timely manner. Thank you.

  • 3200-3298 East Kalamazoo Street Lansing, MI - Lansing
I understand that the City of E. Lansing will be resurfacing Kalamazoo St. east of the bridge over the Red Cedar here; haven't heard anyone mention if Kalamazoo west of the bridge is going to be resurfaced which it desperately needs. The potholes and broken up pavement, particularly in the east-bound lane, are really bad from S. Clippert all the way to the bridge.
  • 418 Allen St Lansing Michigan - Lansing
Toys & trash constantly block use of the sidewalk, grass is uncut (approx. 8'' tall), trash, toys, and furniture are scattered all across their yard and spreads to surrounding neighbors' yards.
This has been posted for nearly a year on this website, and still nothing has changed. The current tenants at this property treat their yard and neighbor's yards like a trash pile and are a nuisance to other neighbors, and the landlord obviously doesn't care. We've had to call the police non-emergency number nearly every week to complain about loud fights (and 911 in one instance of gun shots) in the middle of the night. It's very disturbing to wake up in the middle of the night to a yelling match in front of your house. I'm at a loss as to what to do.
  • 1118 Dakin Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This property is a mess they hide their trash in all the leafs, not to mention the over growth of weeds, grass etc. Code Compliance has been called several times in the past 2 months and nothing is being done. What good is this site is it just to make people feel like they are being heard?
  • 1142 Dakin Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The family parks campers trucks cars in front yard blocks view of cross road, the also park the wrong way on road and up on curbs all the time
  • 405 S. Grand Ave. Lansing, MI - Lansing
Sidewalk on the East side of Grand River between Lenawee and Kalamazoo is almost impassible.
  • 927 W. Shiawassee St. Lansing, MI - Genesee
There have been multiple problems with the people who live at 927 w. Shiawassee st. There have been problems with the drug dealer who is living there. Drugs are being used and sold at all times during the day and night on a regular basis. The problems have started to run over into the neighboring apartment complex, 1001 w. Shiawassee st. There have been three different times were gun shots were heard going off at night in the parking lot of 927 w. Shiawassee st. There was a stabbing that took place there two weeks ago, and strange, people will park in the parking lot of 1001 w.Shiawassee st that do not live there to throw their trash, glass bottles, etc in this parking lot and purchase drugs from the drug dealer in the next parking lot. These problems are really starting to affect the tents that living in the neighboring apartment complex.
