Notified About

  • 3299-3499 Collins Road Lansing, MI - Michigan State University
The right side of Collins road from Dunkle to Forest has a seam/crack running most of the way that needs filling. The seam has no impact on auto traffic, however for those of us that cycle to MSU from work or classes, it is very dangerous. It is wider than a bike tire most of the way, causing tires to sink into the gap and causes riders to be thrown from their bikes. Please consider patching this, even if it is just the hot liquid tar filler.
  • Junk Yard Archived
1512 Lyons Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This person has been maintaining a junk yard at this address for the last year or so in his backyard. He receives delivery of junk from trucks on a weekly basis. Early in the morning he goes behind an abandoned house (1530 Lyons Ave.) retrieves two city trash barrels from that address, fills them with the junk he doesn't want and sets them out to be picked up on trash day. Isn't that illegal? His total back yard, side and front yard is nothing but a constant eye sore everyday and can be seen CLEARLY from the street. As far as I know, this neighborhood is not zoned for a commercial junk yard. Please have someone come and check this address out. This is NOT the first complaint I've made concerning this address. But it doesn't appear that anything was done about that first complaint
  • 1521 Lansing Ave Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
  • Prospect And Foster (Corner Of) Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
I've asked this question a number of times and never get an answer: Why does the person at the corner of Prospect and Foster get to park his truck and trailer on the street every night? There are others around town who do the same thing and I wonder if one can pay a fee for the privilege or do they have friends in the right places. I park on the street overnight once a year and get a ticket every time.
  • 300 And 304 S. Clemens Ave. Lansing, Michigan - Lansing

The landlord who owns 300 and 304 S. Clemens Ave. has left trash, debris, appliances, and building materials sitting out in the backyards of these properties for nearly two years now. Season after season, I have watched these piles of trash and debris get covered in rain, sleet, snow, and bleached in the sun for too long.

I am not sure if the landlord intends to build a porch out of the (now) 2 year old rotted porch pieces that he has thrown in the backyard, or what. He has continued to let them just sit there, rotting away.

He began some work on the back off 300 S. Clemens, but has yet to complete this work. For nearly a year, a trailer full of trash and other debris has been sitting in the back yard, along with a smaller trailer. An old TV has also been sitting out there for the same amount of time.

I have also seen these properties get temporarily sited by Code Compliance in the past, yet somehow this landlord manages to "fix" these problems and continues to rent these properties. Even while still "working" on the back of 300 S. Clemens.

I would appreciate if the City would address this issue seriously and deal with it in a timely manner. Thank you.

  • 400 Block Of Regent Lansing, MI - Lansing

Someone from code compliance needs to visit the neighborhood. Some of us keep our yards/ houses in good condition. However there are many code violations on the block i.e. Trash, run down exteriors, unlicensed rentals, abanfoned house with roof falling in, etc. multiple calls to code compliance office gets no results.

    Someone needs to help!

  • 405 S. Grand Ave. Lansing, MI - Lansing
Sidewalk on the East side of Grand River between Lenawee and Kalamazoo is almost impassible.
  • Jay Street Lansing, MI 48933, USA - Lansing
Sidewalk in front of Board of Water and Light Cedar St location has not been cleared. The sidewalk has a couple of inches of wet snow, which made it very difficult to pass. Would have been impossible for wheelchair users. Even worse, the plows that cleared their driveway and adjacent Jay St by the Nuthouse, piled the snow many feet high directly over the curb cut and sidewalk forcing people to endanger themselves by climbing over/around a mountain of snow or by walking in Cedar St. This is a very clear violation of the City's snow/ice removal ordinance.
  • 833 Irvington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The homeowner has a history of leaving the grass grow above 8 inches and when he is forced to cut the lawn he lets it grow again to another 8 inches or longer just keeps repeating the pattern he also has broken limbs in the driveway the house is an eyesore
  • 4417 Lowcroft Lansing, MI - Lansing
  • 2319 Meadowcroft Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Huge pole barn just constructed in back yard, adding to several other structures in yard. I think he has a business of selling stuff from his home.
  • 923 R G Curtiss Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
House has been abandoned for over 3 years. House siding is melted and falling off. Vines growing up the walls and into the house. Bushes out front are way beyond the 3 ft high, 3 ft from the road ordinance, making it nearly impossible to see when leaving driveway. Its an accident waiting to happen! These issues need to be addressed ASAP!
