408 East Clifford Avenue Alexandria, Virginia - Potomac West
The new signals at the corner of E. Glebe and Jefferson Davis highway do not work (change to green/white) during the evenings or weekends. They do work during business hours (I assume when tested). The previous new signals had the same problem. Lastly, one corner is still lacking a signal.
A few SUVs have been parking completely in the bike lane northbound on Old Dominion Blvd, blocking the bike lane, making the busy road unsafe for cyclists, walkers and children. This is a consistent, ongoing problem, not something that has happened once or twice.
The intersection of Braddock Road and North West Street floods during heavy rains. Alexandria City commissioned a study but has done nothing else about it in over 11 years. On top of that, the police rarely respond to calls to close the intersection.
My next door neighbor is a young man who inherited a little house in Del Ray when his grandmother died. Since he's moved in, he and his friends get drunk, sing and make a general racket almost nightly - from 3am-5am. Calls to the police have done nothing, nor has an online complaint filed with the City of Alexandria. Aside from murdering him, what recourse do I have?
