Owners and Residents on Park Road

Notified About

  • Intersection Of Lamont And 13th St Nw Washington, DC - Columbia Heights
Stop for Pedestrian signs at this and adjacent intersections are continually destroyed by cars. We keep asking for new ones, when they're installed, they last a week or two at most. Please get the city to install more robust "stop for peds" signs here. Or at least re-install the missing regular ones.
  • 2750 14th St Nw Washington D.C., DC 20009, USA - Columbia Heights
Graffiti removal needed on Retaining wall on NW corner of Fairmont and 14th Streets NW.
  • 3701 16th Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Columbia Heights
For clarification: I reported this here yesterday, and there has been some work to fix one of the many enormous potholes on 16th street within that block, but it was not the trench I was referring to - that trench still remains trecherous and uncared for.
There is a pothole on 16th St. that is larger (both wider and longer) than the size of a sedan due to ongoing road construction. For several weeks, it was a mound which I jokingly referred to as the largest, unmarked speed bump in the city. Some work was done to the area and it is no longer a mound, but a trench with several, deep potholes within the trench itself, and it doesn't matter how slowly you drive over it, you will still hit each dent with a bang. I have to drive over or around this every day on both my morning and evening commutes, as it is in the lane open for south bound commuters during the morning rush and open to northbound commuters during the evening rush. I have witnessed fender benders and bottlenecking as a result, and my drive has become noticably longer as a result of the delays this causes. I'm sure my poor tires are much worse for the wear as well. Please fix!

Many large rats have been seen in the alleys behind the 2600 blk of 15th St NW.
  • 1400 Park Rd Nw Washington, District of Columbia - Columbia Heights
Vehicle DC9346 is illegally parked and worst off obstructing the flow of traffic. This isn't an emergency vehicle for this type of behavior to be allowed or condoned. Traffic in the area is already bad enough to have any obstructions.
  • 1104 Monroe Street Northwest Washington, DC 20010, USA - Columbia Heights
Rubberized surface has a big hole near water fountain. I have several children trip and fall while here only a few minutes. Please fill and repair! Monroe St Park.
  • Bicycles Archived
771-997 Girard Street Northwest Washington, DC 20001, USA - Columbia Heights
Abandoned and stripped. Been here for many months
  • 1525 Newton Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Columbia Heights
The traffic lights at this intersection are twisted. Currently there are two vehicle lights facing the same direction with opposite signals (one is red and one is green, but both are facing Newton St. cars on an angle, as well as northbound 16th St. drivers).
Most importantly, from the pedestrian walkway the walk signal is completely NOT visible. Note that this is a major crossing for 3 local elementary schools, one of which is ON Newton St. In the attached photograph, you'll see that the two lights are facing the same direction, one is red and one is green. And from the angle of the pedestrian walkway, no walk signal is visible.
  • 3020 14th St Nw Washington, District of Columbia - Columbia Heights
Unlimited number of potholes becoming more and more dangerous to vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Sign Missing Archived
1200-1252 Clifton Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009, USA - Columbia Heights
Cardozo HS missing no parking signs located at the main entrance to school. Original signs said 'No Parking during school hours' and listed hours 7:30am - 4:00pm. Monday-Friday'. Area in question is roughly 4 car lengths and signs where originally posted between the 2 existing light poles. These signs are to assist the school buses and frequent drops off and pickups that the school has. Otherwise the one-way street becomes blocked with traffic due to the bottleneck.
  • 1376 Park Rd Nw Washington, DC 20010, USA - Columbia Heights
