A pothole was reported a week ago at Valencia and Baffin Rd along with overgrown ditches obstructing the view of oncoming traffic. Pothole was fixed and nothing done about the overgrowth. Well the same overgrown situation and line of sight is also at the other intersection with overgrown Brazilian pepper trees at the stop sign on Nightingale. Having to pull out into Nightingale to see traffic coming is not very healthy!!
The county owned property has not been mowed in over 5 months this is the drainage ditch that leads to the lake as you can see it is level with the ground which is about 4 feet higher than the ditch that is there. The water is unable to travel to the lakes
This property has a 3' X 3' palm tree root ball lying in the ditch running parallel with Englewood Rd that is blocking the flow of storm water and needs to be removed. It has been there for several months.
As usual the weeds and grass and Brazilian peppers at the intersection of Valencia Rd. and Nightingale Rd. are so tall at the stop sign if you are southbound on Valencia Rd. you have to pull out into Nightingale Rd. to see if any traffic is coming eastbound. This has been an ongoing issue for years with no regular maintenance.
