My neighbors on both the south (373 Ellsworth) and the east (Norton St) deposit trash on their properties, including couches, refrigerators, and open containers, that collect water and serve as breeding ground for mosquitos. Last summer we had an incredible infestation of mosquitos, so severe that it was impossible to be outside most of the summer, and I'm afraid it will be the same this summer. I have talked with the owners but they are unconcerned. Is there anything that can be done?
Piles of leaves in the road on Elm Street between Norton and Boulevard. They were blown into the road by workmen for the landlord who owns many of the similarly-painted houses there, instead of being bagged and removed. They're piled along the sides of the road and are blocking the storm drains, causing the roadways to flood. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed asap.
112 Hubinger St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Edgewood
Found this truck parked in my driveway yesterday morning. Was parked on Eldert for weeks. Now is blocking me from getting a car out of that garage. Called police yesterday morning and was told that if parked in private driveway that they will not do anything about it. I need a way to contact this owner to have them move it.
73 Hubinger Street New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood
There is apparent drug use and selling of drugs at 73 Hubinger Street. The tenant(s) that own a gold Lincoln Navigator hangout, idling in their car while suspicious vehicles drive up, park and leave. As a neighbor within close proximity I can confirm first hand that this is a nightly occurrence. There is also a small child and two neglected dogs that reside at the premises.
This house was finally purchased this year and it seemed as if something were to be done with it. However, a dumpster was stationed in the driveway and people have come by in their dump trucks and filled the dumpster with their garbage while nothing else seems to have been done at this house. It is an eyesore and needs to be handled sooner rather than later. City of New Haven: please contact the new owner and get something going on the renovation of this house.
We have signs on the street for speed bumps but no speed bumps yet. There are children who play and live on this street and cars continue to speed down the street which is dangerous for children and adults
