1526 Webster Street Alameda, California - AlamedaSomeone put graffiti over the sidewalks signs along Webster Street that read, "No bike or skates." The sign are almost universally ignored and there is little to no enforcement, but the vandalism sends the wrong message.

Subject: Fernside Speedway
Dear City Manager and the Public Works Department for the City of Alameda:
I am writing to express my concern regarding the excessive speed I have observed drivers using on Fernside Boulevard. I have lived on Fernside Boulevard near Thompson Street for 2.5 years. During that time, I have witnessed drivers on a daily basis driving at speeds well in excess of the 25 mile per hour speed limit. I also regularly (i.e., at least once per week) see drivers, frustrated with the car in front of them obeying the speed limit, swerve into the bike lane or cross over the double yellow median line in order to pass the vehicle ahead. Most concerning about this behavior is that I observe it most often during the morning commute, when numerous children are heading to school, walking across Fernside, or using the bike lanes.
While I do not know this, I hope that the drivers I have seen participating in the above actions do not live in Alameda, but rather, are using Fernside to get to the Harbor Bay Business Park, the Oakland Airport or the San Francisco Bay Ferry. Such would also help explain the reason for such haste in driving.
I would like the City to consider taking action to address this problem, and thereby reduce the risk of injury to the public and our children caused by the dangerous speeds and poor driving habits used by drivers on Fernside. Perhaps the installation of additional stop signs would be beneficial. Such is a low cost and relatively simple way to address the issue. There are currently no stop signs between High Street and East Side/Garfield Drive, which allows drivers to reach high rates of speed on this stretch of road. Another option would be to install speed humps all along the street. Finally, perhaps some sort of curb separating the bike lane from the roadway, or a center/median island (similar to the islands on Thompson Street) would be effective. I have personally spoken with non-Alamedians who have said that the large width of Fernside gives drivers the impression that the speed limit is higher than 25. Making the roadway narrower, either by installing a curb along the bike lane or a center median, may encourage drivers to slow down.
Another benefit of installing some sort of speed reducing system is that such may deter drivers from outside of Alameda from using Fernside as a thoroughfare to the business park, airport or ferry, and encourage those drivers to use DooLittle or Ron Cowan Parkway, both of which have higher speed limits and less pedestrian traffic.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing back from you.

There is ground in grease in numerous locations on the west side of Webster Street between Santa Clara Avenue and Haight Avenue. It is very dirty. Similar conditions exist along other stretches of Webster. How often is the street power washed or otherwise deep cleaned? It really needs a good scrubbing.
Not sure which category this should have been filed under, so I used this one. There used to be a category of PW-Other, but that has been removed.
1523 Clement Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThe holes in the fence at Encinal Terminal still have not been repaired. There is an increased amount of graffiti on the abandoned buildings as well as broken windows. There are teenagers and young adults (both male and female) who trespass on the property daily. They walk through one of the many holes in the fence. There is definitely something happening in those abandoned buildings. Alameda police have been made aware of this constant issue. However, there still seems to be no resolve with either repairing the holes, or boarding/ locking up the buildings. Even when the police show up and confront the trespassers, they just let them go. No wonder why the trespassers keep coming back even though there are multiple signs on the fence that state “No trespassing, violators will be prosecuted”

7-Eleven 2301 Lincoln Ave, Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThere needs to be MORE police patrol in or around the 7-Eleven store on Lincoln and Oak, particularly late night. Homeless people come and steal things and the employee allows it. It's not fair that other people pay for their items and some are allowed to steal. No excuse for no police patrol - the APD is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.

I have a request I submitted on this website on March 11th, 2019 (9 months ago): https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5512452-content-blocked-by-rejections
For 9 months straight, I have been using this SeeClickFix request to document the ongoing harassment and abuse by my neighbors, who have continued subjecting me, my girlfriend, and my other neighbors in my building to horrific abuse for almost 2 years straight now.
For some inexplicable reason (probably just to sweep the issue under the rug), 15 minutes ago today (Monday, December 2nd, 2019), my 9-month old request was forcefully closed and placed into a permanently closed state, preventing me from commenting on or re-opening the request, by Alameda police officer Florence Lopez.
A few minutes ago, after I discovered that Florence Lopez did this to my request, I resubmitted it under the following URL: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/7043241-police-general
A few minutes later, Florence Lopez stepped in and closed the request again, permanently disabling my ability to comment on or reopen the request. In his closing comment, Florence Lopez falsely stated the following:
"Keeping the issue open on SeeClick will not help your issue."
This is false. Keeping the issue open on SeeClickFix has allowed me to spread awareness of the issue to the public. I have been contacted by multiple Alamedans who have read my request on this website and were horrified by the abuse that we are going through. I have garnered a significant amount of support from the community. My original request even had something like 15 or 20 up votes on it.
Keeping the request open on SeeClickFix DOES help me, even though the police continue doing what they do best (ignoring the problem and letting people break laws in Alameda to their heart's content), my keeping it open on SeeClickFix helps spread awareness to other Alamedans. It helps educate and inform other people in this community about what is happening, and when the next election season comes, people will be able to look at requests like mine on SeeClickFix to see what major problems we have in this city (government corruption), they will know which city officials are responsible for corrupt practices like censoring law abiding taxpaying citizens using this site in good faith and not violating the terms of service at all (like FLorence Lopez, for example) and they will know who to and not to vote for in the next election.
My keeping this request open on SeeClickFix, while it might not help stop my neighbors from abusing and harassing me, does help me in helping educate the public about public corruption and disorder in Alameda, and what actions We the People need to take in order to reclaim control of our own city.
If you close this request, I will simply re-submit it, over and over again. I will not be censored. I will not let you silence me. I will continue to let the public know what you are doing, and will thwart any attempts to stop me from getting this message out.
Police have made numerous attempts in the past to dismiss and sweep my request under the rug. In a separate, related request, a police officer posted a comment falsely saying "The issue has been dealt with" and then attempted to close it, only for me to re-open it again and point out (along with a wealth of video proof, written documentation, etc) proving, CONCLUSIVELY, that the problem WAS NEVER "dealt with" at ALL and remains a massive nuisance to this day.
So far my neighbor has destroyed the lock mechanism on my mailbox and I've been permanently locked out of my mailbox for the past two weeks. They have trespassed on our property multiple times, defacing our property, and dumping trash in our driveway. They have also spent the last 2 years depriving us of peace, keeping 4 dogs locked up in their apartment 24/7 which is i.l.l.e.g.a.l in Alameda (alameda has a pet ordinance that limits 3 dogs per household), keeping their doors open even when it is below 50 degrees outside just to force us to listen to their screaming, shrieking barking dogs, loud music and constant partying.
I have extensive documentation, both in written and video format, which can be found all through the comments section of my original request here: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5512452-content-blocked-by-rejections
Note: My original request body was also wiped out a few months ago and replaced with the text "Content Block by Rejections" despite the fact that my post was 100%, fully compliant with the site's terms of service, did not contain a single trace of profanity, and was allowed to remain up all year up until a few months ago.
Then, to hammer the "final nail in the coffin", Florence Lopez straight-up closed my request altogether, permanently crippling my ability to publicly document the abuse my neighbors have been putting us all through for the last 2 years straight.
Please re-open my request or I will be forced to continue documenting my neighbor's abuse and lawbreaking behavior here, which is creating a problem for other people who want to follow the issue. For other people interested in the horror that is happening to my girlfriend and I, they will not be able to thoroughly track the documentation of the abuse in this request since most of it is in my previous request.
People should not have to jump between different requests on this website just to follow one issue. There should be a 1 to 1 relationship between every issue and request on this website. IT does not make sense for me to have to submit 2 requests, 3 requests, 4 requests, etc, just to document ONE problem. ONE PROBLEM should equal ONE request. Unfortunately, because my requests are constantly being censored, deleted and closed by corrupt city employees, I am forced to submit multiple, duplicate requests just to keep documenting the problem for the world to see. I should not have to do this. Please restore my request immediately.
If this request gets closed I will immediately re-submit it as the problem HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AT ALL
Every single day and night we are kept awake by loud rap music, screaming and barking from the dogs at 2614 Central Ave. Every day the owner trespasses on our property, every day his family members come on our property to vandalize my mailbox and steal my mail. every day they abuse us. every day. they did it again this morning, last night. It has not been resolved
DO NOT CLOSE THIS REQUEST. THE PROBLEM IS STILL ONGOING AND I WANT TO DOCUMENT IT HERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE.

Central Ave. Heading Towards Webster St. Before Caroline St. Alameda, California - AlamedaCitizens of Alameda expect your garbage bill to go up! Alameda has a major problem with the illegal dumping and people stealing recycling materials such as cans and bottles out of garbage cans for their OWN PERSONAL GAIN. I called Alameda PD on the non-emergency phone number at 12:44pm today to report a person taking recycling out of garbage cans on Central Ave. The woman who answered did NOT take my phone # or name. Do the police care? I called back at 12:48 pm to report I would be putting a picture of the woman on SeeClickFix.
