Notified About

  • Park St. Alameda, California - Alameda
The non-smoking signs on Park St. are ignored. On numerous occasions while walking down Park St., I get stuck behind someone smoking. The signs are so high it took me a year of being in the city before I even noticed them. Peet's coffee shop has no smoking signs by their tables but Starbucks doesn't? It would be nice to see Alameda Police walking up and down Park St. especially on a Friday or Saturday night.
  • Constitution Way Alameda, California - Alameda
It looks like there could be a new homeless encampment under the overpass at Constitution and Marina Village. Please investigate. This is really starting to become a quality of life issue that I moved to Alameda to avoid. If we don't do anything this will be viewed as acceptable and more blight will be introduced to the community. I hope that's not what Alameda is striving for.

  • 1437 Park St. Alameda, California - Alameda
The former Silver Tree business is unoccupied and has become dilapidated. Partly boarded up (susceptible to graffiti), some glass is cracked, ripped paper taped up to the glass, and the entryway is filthy and reeks of urine. Landlord should be directed to clean, repair, and beautify this storefront while it is unoccupied.
  • 1500 Webster Alameda, California - Alameda
The problem of graffiti vandalism along Webster Street and the lack of timely cleanup is worsening the problem.
  • 2523 Blanding Ave Alameda 94501, United States - Alameda
333 Lancaster St. Oakland, on estuary side of building, there are 6 areas of graffiti on the WES building that are not only ugly, but offensive! The picture shows one that is sort of mild! The paint needed to cover is Behr Premium slate gray #6695.
  • 302 Maitland Drive Alameda, California - Alameda

Maitland Drive is a narrow residential street, but traffic often passes at much higher speed. High speed traffic to/from Ron Cowan Parkway that flows into Maitland Drive. Maitland Drive is path for all 880 traffic into Bay Farm to/from Southbay.

There is a 25 mph limit sign at the start of the Maitland Northbound, but it is disguised as a limit for the bend in the road, and cars speed up again once on the Maitland Drive straightway. At the minimum, a 25 mph sign after the road bend may help. Flashing sign, even better.

We have seen a speed indicator installed in the North section of Maitland, but South section remains a problem for the residents.

Of course police enforcement of the limit would also greatly help.

  • 1445 Webster Street Alameda, California - Alameda
On the benches next to Taqueria Calafia on Webster Street are a group of homeless men/women who loiter there on a daily basis for hours at a time, usually in the afternoon. They drag their carts, smoke their cigarettes ( smoking ordinance?) take over that area. Often this area smells of alcohol. My children walk by this area daily. Other people's children walk by this area. Requesting increased daily police patrols on Webster. This happens daily. My last post was closed and archived. This is an ongoing problem. I am requesting ongoing monitoring of the area. Please do not close this thread.
  • 1200 Park St Alameda, CA 94501, USA - Alameda
Oops, I thought this growing pile of junk at vacant big o/ big Pro was just junk but then it coughed. A homeless person is sleeping in the rain under this pile on the west side of big O's lot. Outreach?
  • Webster St Alameda 94501, United States - Alameda
The concrete supports on the left side of the road in the dirt area have black paint and white paint that have been there for months. The overpass going the other direction looks like the tagged pulled back bushes and tagged that too. Please have it cleaned! Been there too long for the city to not have noticed
  • 1916 Webster Alameda, California - Alameda
Homeless man hanging out in front of Walgreens aggressively asking for money. Follows customers to vehicles and aggressively panhandles when customers are getting in vehicles. Sits on top of trashcan in front of store on a regular basis. Saw him go into Levy's Bagels and take drinks for free and then sits in store and eyes people. Very creepy. He may have mental problems. Description: Approximately 50, african american, slender build. This is happening on an ongoing basis. No visible security in shopping center.

Del Monte warehouse fence has been cut open and left like this for multiple days. Please contact Tim Lewis Communities. This happens every few months, this area needs more security patroling at night.
