The garbage can provided by the city, as well as a store bought garbage can, are at the curb in the front of this house 24/7. This issue has been reported in the past but there has not been a resolution. Would appreciate your attention to this matter.

Someone tore the posted no trespassing sign from the ground in the city owned lot near Booker Creek. The sign location is closest to 4th St near the creek. It would be helpful if additional no trespassing signs would be placed in the lot along the creek as well since transients continue to camp near the trees and leave a mess. These trees and brush should be cut back to discourage camping and other illegal activities.

Constant Loitering at the Quickies Food Mart and Metro PCS on 15th Ave and 9th Street S. Loiters defecating and urinating in the alley directly behind the store. There are constant fights and arguing which is causing a disturbance. I have reached out to city and police officials over the years without a resolution to the problem. My family is not safe and I need help with this problem.

Over 4 weeks being told these trees would be taken care of with absolutely no results.

Does the city plan to do anything about the group that gathers at the northeast side of 4th Street S next to the bridge over Booker Creek? Not only is the group growing in size, but a lot of trash is getting put into Booker Creek at that location.

It appears somebody may be opening something at the old sugar room strip club. So this is just a notice to the codes department since they seem to be the last ones to know when something is going on around here. I know the last time the code officer claimed he never saw them working on the sugar room strip club. Yet since I can see it from my house I can tell you they were worked there EVERY day ALL day for several months so it seems unbelievable the code officer did not see them working and therefore could not give them a cease-and-desist violation for working without a permit. So let this report be a heads up to the codes and zoning departments that something is happening there… Maybe the Bartlett Park codes supervisor can keep an eye on this since I know she cares about this neighborhood and she's very fair yet very tough. So hopefully she will take notice and not send out the same code officer who couldn't see anyone working there for months on end every day all day. Thank you advance for helping us out here in Bartlett Park!

Homeless and intoxicated people once again were allowed to congregate and lay around the park. Guess what...they left a mess of trash again. If the city will allow them to destroy our neighborhood they should at least clean up after them. The people in charge of our publicly funded parks should make an effort to keep them clean and healthy. This is at the mouth of a residential neighborhood, and it’s spilling into Old Southeast. How are law abiding citizens supposed to be able to enjoy the green space? Allowing these people to loiter here is inviting drugs, prostitution and crime into an residential area. How is this still going on in the south side? It is getting worse and I see nothing being done. What is the city doing to actually make a change?

My wonderful neighbor, who has basically adopted my wife and I as her pseudo-grandchildren, is in need of some help. She's 74 years old and has been a part of this neighborhood for 40 years. Now, in her later years, her roof and home have fallen into disrepair. I'm hoping that the city has a program, or that someone knows of a program, that helps our elderly population with home repairs. Her roof is in very poor shape. I'm pretty sure rodents are able to access her attic and that her roof is leaking bad. My wife and I think the world of her and hate to see her struggle. If I wasn't a blue collar firefighter and I had some sort of auxiliary income that could cover it, I'd do it...but, I don't. Here's hoping that someone knows of a program that will help.
