Parking Violation/Abandoned Auto Archived1-65 Jewell Street New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver HillsWhite 18 wheeler (Logo: SWIFT; Indiana license plate 2464454) was parked all weekend at the cemetery on Jewel St. This has been an issue in the past and seemed to be over but apparently not. I called the police nonemergency number on Saturday to report this but the truck was still in place without a ticket on Sunday afternoon when I went by. We need enforcement here.

Crosswalks on Edgewood AcknowledgedEdgewood Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - EdgewoodThere are marked pedestrian crosswalks at Edgewood and McKinley and Edgewood and Alston, but no signs. Drivers routinely speed through the crosswalks ignoring pedestrians. This has been posted about before . This morning a mom with a stroller was almost mowed down at Edgewood and McKinley. Last week I saw the same at Edgewood and Alston . Signs are needed at these crosswalks, similar to the signs that exist at chapel and Alden crosswalks— signs needed reminding drivers that there are crosswalks and that they must yield to walkers .

Now is blocking me from getting a car out of that garage. Called police yesterday morning and was told that if parked in private driveway that they will not do anything about it. I need a way to contact this owner to have them move it.

Illegal Dumping Archived575-583 Edgewood Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - EdgewoodMattresses have been dumped at the blocked-off entrance to the Park. Considering the fact that free bulk pickup is not provided by the City of New Haven, it's not surprising that this takes place. Illegal mattress dumping happens frequently in this area.

Norton St Between Goffe And Whalley New Haven Beaver Hill, CT - Beaver HillsI have been keeping a log since February of visitors (displaying illegal behaviors) to a certain home on Norton St. I have dates, times and license plate numbers. If this issue does not improve I will pass the information to the police. One male in particular is always drunk, and since he gets out of his car drunk, he is obviously driving drunk. He leaves his alcohol bottles and cans in the street and on others' property, "speaks" loudly (slurring, really) and generally acts like a fool. He visits the resident on the second floor. This occurs at varying hours and on varying days, but Saturday night at around 2 a.m. is when he is commonly dropping someone off and occasionally entering the home for a visit. For now, I am withholding the address, but if this does not stop, I will be forced to "out" these people by address number in order to get results. This littering and obnoxious drunken behavior will not be tolerated.

Dumping? or bulk pickup? Archived299-317 Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT - EdgewoodFor the fourth time in a year or so, I'm reporting a large pile of trash at this exact same location. I thought it was a repeat offender but now I see the last complaint was closed for me by LCI Watcher who reported the pile gone. Can anyone at LCI tell me if this is a regulation bulk pickup site? In which case I'll stop reporting new instances. But sometimes the piles linger there for weeks, which makes me think they are illegal dumping (maybe by the large apartment complex across the street). Is this a legitimate issue for me to report, or is it OK for these piles to sit there?
