Sea Street New Haven, Connecticut - HillDrivers are routinely making illegal left turns traveling northwest on Sea St on to Ella Grasso Blvd. Not only does this hold up traffic through the intersection, a driver behind a left-turning vehicle has to stop suddenly when the car in front stops unexpectedly. I have watched several close calls coming from the other direction, and had my own close calls when drivers don't signal their intentions and just stop to wait to make the turn. There needs to be much more enforcement in this dangerous intersection.
358 W Rock Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - WestvilleThey have been ripping up and down Whalley Avenue dangerously. And they keep coming back to this driveway to park. It is the home to the left of the light blue home if you're facing the home.
Nash St New Haven, Connecticut - East RockWhy do plows continuously plow toward the even side of the street and up against all cars. The odd side of the street is completely open.
Ferry St New Haven, Connecticut - Chatham SquareThe prostitution, drug sales & use of drugs has become highly visible along Ferry St. Especially Chapel St intersection through
Peck St. Toni Harp and the narcotics unit need to start riding by so you can see what's going on our streets so you can take action before we make national news again. The prostitutes and John's are coming in from the out skirts; we need to start exposing them, by arresting them and impounding their cars and posting the mug shots; maybe then they will think twice before coming to New Haven to do your dirt
1471 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - EdgewoodThis house caught fire over a year ago and has been in this condition; scorched, boarded up, and abandoned ever since. What is being done to either rehab or demo the building? It sits on the corner of chapel and Sherman, a prominent and important gateway to our community. I'd love to see this property fixed up and rented out or transformed into something useful, right now it's an eyesore and a liability.
41 Cold Spring St New Haven 06511, United States - East RockOverflowing trash cans in the pavilion area of East Rock Park’s College Woods. Animals are breaking into all the loose trash and spreading garbage all over the park. This is now happening EVERY weekend! I took this photo on Sunday morning, so the additional trash of an another entire day of weekend park visitors still needs to be accommodated. It’s a mockery of to all of us who work hard to keep our parks and public space clean. Our Youth at Work just spent all summer laboring to pick up trash in the park. Mayor Harp, Becky Bombero, what are you going to do to address this ongoing problem? The status quo is unsustainable and unacceptable.
Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Yale University Campus
Almost a day after the snowstorm ended, Whitney Avenue, the main North-South street in the city, has STILL not been cleared and it is still covered with several inches of snow and ice and slush. Why aren't there plows out there NOW (at 2:30 PM) clearing the street? Who is responsible for supervising snow clearance in the winter? They seem to be either absent or incompetent.
Snow clearance in New Haven is always very poor in the winter, but this might be even poorer than usual. Every winter when you drive down Whitney Avenue from Hamden after a snowstorm, the streets have been nicely cleared in Hamden, but they are still covered with snow as soon as you cross the in New Haven line. The surrounding towns always do a much better job of snow clearance than New Haven. Why?
543 George St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - West RiverThe rank smell on George street continues though the original request has been "closed" BUT NOT RESOLVED as everyone walking past the funeral home can tell you. To be clear, I am not placing blame on the funeral home but only pinpointing the EXACT location of the fecal stench that has been ongoing now, for 8 months. What's going on? If the lines were flushed last week and the construction on Dwight and George should not be causing the smell...can someone identify the cause and properly resolve the issue???????? PLEASE and THANK YOU!

2-90 Sheffield Ave New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
I am in wheel chair and I catch public transportation. Today, when I was trying to get on the bus, there was too much snow on the curb and the handicap access ramps on the curbs for the bus to be able to lower the handicap accessible ramp, for to be able to mount with my wheel chair. When the driver tried to lower the ramp, because of the snow, there was a gap of about an inch or so. This is very unsafe for me, as well as other citizens. Please address this immediately. My concern today was at the bus stop I was at; however, this is happening all over the city. There has to be a better and safer system, to protect all the city's citizens, in times of inclement weather.
Also, when it rains the water pulls at the end of the parking lot and drains into the bus stop. When the temperature is at freezing levels, this area turns into an ice rink. If I go over the curb to reach the bus, I can lose control of my wheel chair and slide directly into oncoming traffic.
Fountain Street New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
I live on Fountain Street, a state road and commuter route for individuals coming to New Haven area. There are no public trash receptacles on the street, despite being a major bus route with heavy pedestrian traffic.
Is there any enforcement of littering laws in New Haven?
Are there plans to provide city maintained trash receptacles near bus stops?
This was waiting for me tonight when I got home, where the road meets my driveway. Not the most vile thing I've ever seen, but seriously, who throws a bag filled with half eaten Chinese takeout out of their car in a residential area? Or anywhere?
I find this highly annoying --both pedestrian and automobile litter. I feel like a character in Women in the Dunes.
87-105 Sachem Street New Haven, Connecticut - DixwellPlease bring back the STOP sign at corner of Winchester and Sachem. There is bicycle traffic entering and exiting the Farmington Canal Trail here, and the pedestrian crosswalk does not provide enough protection. Cars traveling from Winchester used to have to come to a full stop, now they barely slow down if there is no pedestrian in crosswalk. This creates unsafe conditions for bike cross-traffic.
114 Foster Street New Haven, Connecticut - East RockCrosswalk pedestrian signal needed at Foster and Eagle streets. There is a lot of stroller and dog traffic in this neighborhood, cars go too quickly down Foster, and with street parking on both sides of the street, it can be a challenge to see oncoming traffic. Something to slow or stop traffic to allow for safe street crossing is necessary. Thank you.
