303 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Bishop-HineThe bushes in the parking lot have grown to completely cover and block the windows of the apartments that are adjacent to the parking lot.
Edgewood Park Dog Park New Haven Ct 06515 New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood
Hello, my request is for the parks and recreation department to take better care of the edgewood dog park. Specifically though, I have 2 requests:
1. to change the trash can at the entrance of the park to a tote-style can that can be closed, instead of the open top one currently there.
2. to do some landscape maintenance. the entrance is completely over grown, as is parts of the park inside the fence. it also needs to be re-mulched.
Thank you for your help.
87-105 Sachem Street New Haven, Connecticut - DixwellA stop sign is desperately needed on Sachem at Winchester. There used to be a sign there, but it was removed before construction of the Yale colleges began. A few injuries have been reported at this corner, and a number of people have complained about the need for a stop sign on SCF for several years, but this has been ignored. No one understands why such an easy fix is so hard.
520 Howard Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - HillThe city needs to have a system for plowing BOTH sides of residential streets. After the first odd-side parking ban, and plowing of the odd side of the street, the next step should be an EVEN side parking ban, and cleaning the EVEN side.
Alternate side of the street snow removal is typical in cities, and has been the norm in all the northern cities and towns where I have lived.
New Haven's odd approach means that after a big snowfall, if there is a second storm residents can't park on the even side of the street, because it is blocked with huge mounds of snow. If the city never removes the snow after each storm, things become more difficult with each storm.
Why doesn't New Haven follow a logical system to guarantee clear streets during the winter?
911 State St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - East RockFowl smell coming from inside near front door. Could be dead body or virus. Someone should check this out

1134 Quinnipiac Ave New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Essex TownhousesIt's 10pm Saturday night and the soccer games are on again. Every Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. People are still coming in; I counted 52 cars parked on Quinnipiac alone, when usually at this time there are none.I complained last year and again this year: the Health Dept, the Housing Authority, the Police, the Building Dept. Besides being an illegal activity where alcohol is supposedly sold and teams pay the owner to play (he lives in front on Quinnipiac), I am sure that proper COVID precautions are not being taken, including large crowds. This is a land-locked parcel and the only access is via Housing Authority driveway.I am surprised that Essex Townhouse tenants haven't complained of the late night noise, bright lights and tons of people. What does it take to get action?
Whalley & Fitch New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver Hills
The light at this intersection coming from Fitch gives a 3 second Green light. This isn't even enough time to get one car through and people just proceed through red.
Dangerous and avoidable.
please check timing.
851-861 Orange Street New Haven Connecticut - East Rock
An Amazon package was stolen from my porch Saturday or Sunday. A neighbor from Armory Court returned the box to me after she noticed it in between her complex and the neighboring house. Also, it looks like something from Luminara was stolen from another neighbor but there was no info left on the package to identify the recipient.
I'll go ahead and ask my neighbors to pick up packages and instruct carries to leave packages on the rear porch. For the record, I had requested a hold mail for the weekend but USPS still delivered it, and it was supposed to arrive before I left town for the weekend.
36 Fountain St New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
Newly opened Camacho Garage on Fountain Street has been operating at well over the percentage guidelines for the state of Connecticut. As a family that owns and operates a small business within the same vicinity we, along with our employees, cannot afford to be shut down again due to lack of respect for the rules put in place to prevent spread. The concern of those that live and/or operate businesses in the westville area are becoming more and more concerned. We all appreciate and applaud the transformation to the location. However, as we teach children, rules are rules. They are put in place for a reason. Please look into this location in an attempt to prevent another spike in the area. UNH is currently experiencing a significant climb. The business owners and all their employees simply cannot afford another shutdown following a spike in the virus.
Eld Street New Haven Connecticut - SOHUWhy is the City ticketing residential parkers when you have not had the permits available in a timely fashion (for years!)?? You are wasting everyones time by ticketing - I do not have the time or the desire to make a trip to city hall to contest an undeserved ticket, while I have submitted my paperwork for permits weeks ago and have not yet received them, (let's not even mention the nonfunctional online submission debacle) - These quality of life issues make residents angry and it makes the City administration appear incompetent. What is your solution??
280 Clifton Street New Haven, Connecticut - Fair Haven HeightsA 4WAY stop is desperately needed on the corners of Clifton and Russell Street! 321 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Bishop-HineHard to tell where it's coming from, but just about every night the past week or so (at least), we've heard loud popping-like sounds in the distance from our apartment. Starting after sundown, continuing at least until 11 or so. Anyone else hearing these/know what's going on?
