  • Cross St & Middletown Ave New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Quinnipiac

The third light on the left in the picture which is green instead of red used to be facing 90 degrees to the right. It's supposed to be the traffic light for traffic coming from Cross Street. It appears the traffic light has somehow been twisted 90 degrees to the left, and thus facing northeast bound traffic on Middletown Avenue. This issue was reported before and closed with the following note:

CLOSED Department of Transportation, Traffic and Parking (Verified Official) ConnDOT signal. Ongoing DOT project.
Why was that issue closed if there is still a green light facing traffic that is supposed to have a red light? Was this problem caused by a ConnDOT project or was it caused by heavy winds several days ago? If it's part of a ConnDOT project, why in the world would the technicians leave a traffic light facing the wrong direction or which is cycling incorrectly between green and red?

I understand ConnDOT doesn't utilize SCF, but our TT&P does. Don't close this reported issue just because you're not the folks who will resolve it. Contact the appropriate personnel, then wait for them to resolve the issue, and then close this issue.

  • 115 Peat Meadow Rd New Haven, CT 06513, USA - Annex
Weeds, trees and grass need cutting on the corner of Peat Meadow and the entrance to Frontage Road to highway. You can't turn right without pulling out so far to see and getting hit by an oncoming car (bc everything's so high). Please address because it's a major safety concern.

  • 41 Quiuinnipiac Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Annex
There is a large tree in front of condo complex on Quinnipiac Avenue. It’s on the right hand side In front off 55 number. It’s the city’s tree, not the complex. Has large branches hanging down about to fall! Children walk this way to catch school bus and there is a lot of foot traffic as well. This issue needs to be addressed ASAP. Someone is going to get hurt.

Brennan Rogers School is in the process of planning many walking field trips to Common Ground HS on Springside Avenue. We discovered the route we will walk (Wilmot to Wintergreen to Springside) is unsafe. Is there any way that area can get cleaned up so we can walk safely to Common Ground and back?
