    For several months now, in several places along Talbert Street, between MLK Jr. Ave. and Talbert Terrace, there are cables dangling from poles, bunched up on poles, or lying in the street and on the sidewalks. This is, at best, an eyesore, and could possibly be dangerous. I have no idea if the cables are the responsibility of Pepco, Comcast, Verizon, or some other entity; but the mess needs to be cleaned up.

    There have been hundreds of MPD officers up on this hill, and I am positive one of them must have noticed this mess of cables up here, but none of those "public servants" have done anything about the problem.

    Identify the company responsible for maintenance of these cables, cite them, and force them out here to get this mess cleaned up.

    Just because I live East of the Anacostia River does not mean that I am willing to put up with being treated like garbage by employees of the city to which I pay outrageous amounts in taxes and fees.

    This construction has consistently been in violation of DCRA and safety rules. These are some, not all: blocking the street with stacks of construction materials and a dumpster, no permits showing, workers on top of structures over 6 feet without harnesses, accessing the property from a makeshift driveway very close to intersections, a driveway and an alley. This construction should immediately cease until these violations and permitting issues are addressed.

    The off ramp to exit #1 off 295S going towards DC WASA to Overlook and Chesapeake Streets SW are tearing up car suspensions and axles. It needs to be repaved; it is long overdue. The patchwork that has been done is unacceptable. Please repair the streets and repave that entire area all the way down to the on ramp.

    I believe it was capital paving that replaced sidewalks on 53rd Pl SE and never finished the work! I've called them and left SEVERAL messages but they never return my call. Both sides of the alley entrance sidewalk are not completed and are gravel. This is not only a safety hazard but causes gravel and mud to run in the streets after heavy rain fall. Please fix this ASAP!

    There's been a parked car on South Capitol St SE every morning for more than the past month (please see map for exact location in front of the bus stop and please see photo for plate number/description). The car is parked in a no parking zone after 7am and every morning at 715 it's still there blocking an entire lane of traffic and backing up the street feeding into 295 pretty significantly. Please send parking enforcement to ticket the car so they stop causing traffic for everyone else.
