I hired a licensed arborist to trim the tree in front of our house to get rid of the dead branches overhanging the well-traveled sidewalk. He said it was a city tree and the city had to trim it. He also said it should be done soon before it fell on someone and injured them. That was in July. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I HAVE REPORTED THIS ISSUE AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED!
This intersection, @ Willow St. and the I91/I95 entrance ramp is terrible for pedestrians. Neither Eastbound or Westbound traffic has to stop to allow pedestrians to cross. Willow St. is a major school route and the only direct route from East Rock to Fairhaven.
744 Orange Street New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
There is a tree at the corner of Orange and Avon that is completely dead. It is located outside of 744 Orange St., but on the Avon side. It's trunk and branches are located very close to the house, above a pedestrian sidewalk, and directly above regularly used street parking. The attached photo was taken at the end of May when all other surrounding trees had full foliage.
