Notified About

  • Whitney Ave New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
Does NHPD actually enforce noise ordinances against loud car stereos or excessive motorcycle noise?
  • 74-128 E Rock Rd New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
Motorcycles without mufflers pass by and create a horrible racket in our home. Are there any noise laws in New Haven that could be enforced?
  • 188 Canner Street New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
The scaffolding has been there for over 10 years and now is endangering The community. Pieces of rusted scaffolding have been found on the sidewalk and the school playground. Do we have to wait for somebody get killed until LCI seriously stop this insanity.
  • Intersection Of Cold Spring And Livingston Streets New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
There have been countless accidents at this intersection (and near accidents). We desperately need speed humps, a stop light, or other traffic calming measures to make this a safer intersection for all the children walking to schools and parks.
  • English Drive New Haven, Connecticut - Cedar Hill

The Wilbur Cross Boy's and Girl's Soccer Teams practice all summer long at Rice Field but the Goal Nets are removed, there is no field marked out and there are no benches or bleachers to put their stuff on.

Especially given the fact that Soccer is the world's most popular sport and that the Wilbur Cross Soccer Teams have existed far too long on relatively miniscule budgets compared to other sports and with relatively substandard and historically unsafe facilitie...can they please be provided with at least a marked out field and the two Soccer Goal Nets to practice over the Summer months with?

  • Livingston & Canner New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
Happens every street cleaning day: tow trucks driving 50 miles an hour and blowing through all the stop signs - with a cop car leading the way!
  • Farnam Drive New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
There is a growing homeless encampment (one tent last week, four as of this morning) on the (unofficial, unmapped) trail that runs closest to The Mill River and parallel to Farnam Dr. in East Rock Park
  • All Of East Rock New Haven, CT - East Rock
There are too many streets in East Rock where the odd sides were NEVER PLOWED and a number of streets, especially Lawrence, is essentially a one-way road due to cars parking with the ice/snow and two cars not being able to fit through the street at the same time. Why did the city just skip East Rock?
  • Nash St. New Haven, CT - East Rock
The Park on Nash is a beautiful New Haven Greenspace. However, it is not what it was even one year ago. The park is full of trash, and the gravel and footstones are gone. The picnic tables have been completely deconstructed or destroyed, and the gazebo is run down. Perhaps we could re-fix this lot up as a neighborhood activity in order to make it the beautiful spot it once was.

Nash Street New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
There are 2 feuding neighbors on Nash Street, both middle-aged white males with mental health disorders and alcohol and or drug addictions. They have begun to harass new graduate students neighbors with stories and unwelcomed conversation/personal space invasions. 1 of the men (who lives next to the Park on Nash) has been seen in the streets dancing with a sword, mop and broom, in a bathrobe, underwear, or sometimes in the nude. He was also allegedly arrested last Thursday for sexually harassing a Post Office worker on Nash Street. The other neighbor claims to own seventeen houses on the street, including the park, but he is believed to actually live in East Haven. It would be helpful to have more active policing on this street until things settle down and people feel safe again. If police officers could physically walk up and down Nash Street 1-2x a day to see what is taking place on a daily basis maybe there is something that can be done. Neighbors are in fear.
  • 141 Nicoll St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
Bike thief stole a bike last night and got away from cops. He came back at midnight to retrieve the bike that he had left, for the one he had stolen, and had once again gotten away from the cops. He came back this morning and retrieved his bike and was spotted casing Foster St. He is Black, 5'9" wearing a brown hoodie with a black coat over it that has red stripes on the sleeves. He was seen walking a red Specialized mountain bike with a plastic bag over the seat. If you see him call NHPD and you can tell them it's related to case# 18068
  • Willow And Nicoll New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
Accidents happen frequently at this corner (at least two in the last few days), which is controlled by a 2-way stop sign. Drivers on Nicoll will stop at the stop sign, then proceed assuming incorrectly that the driver on Willow has a stop sign as well. At the very least, the stop signs on Willow should carry an indication that crossing traffic does not stop, but a 4-way stop is the better solution at an intersection where people tend to barrel down Willow at an unsafe speed.
