Three potholes need filling for quite sometime now on Planters Street. I have to drive through 2 of them to get in my driveway. Now my right front CV axle needs replacing. Could you please send someone to fix them. Thanks

For two weeks now a section of the Salem Common fence has been very insecurely held up by yellow tape. Feels it is a hazard to children playing there. “If it cannot be fixed, it should be taken down/removed until it can.”

I posted an issue yesterday regarding the Witch City Mall blocking entrances and creating a threat to public safety in the event of a fire. My comment was clocked for some reason. Apparently, the City of Salem doesn’t want residents raising concerns about a business that operates in the city. What a joke.

It would be nice if the city was as concerned about a local business putting public safety at risk.

If this comment gets blocked the city will be receiving a 1st Amendment lawsuit. It didn’t use profanity or any other inappropriate language.

Requested this sidewalk be fixed four years ago after an elderly woman fell and hurt herself while walking. To date there has been no action. Please address ASAP. We have waited a long, long time on this one. This is a trip hazard which poses liability for the City.

There have been many (stopped count at 25) people playing basketball without masks. There are signs all over the park that say it is a mask-required zone...the Mayor says to call the police to report violations, so we did that. However, noone came, and the second time we called, we were laughed at, told 'the park cannot even HOLD that many people (untrue, we have had parties there) and the officer on the phone said in a scoffing tone 'we will send someone if we get a chance'. Salem is one of the hot spots and neighbors Lynn, the new epicenter of the virus, but it seems that our officials do not care to enforce their own rules. So the rules only apply to the law-abiding residents? Why did the Mayor say to do this, gave direction on what to do for violations, only to have the police ignore and laugh at us? We do not care about random people wearing the masks here and there, but this is a large gathering, not even just 10 people...over 25 just taking over the park and ignoring the mask mandate.

Old wicker chair dumped on sidewalk for weeks...also overgrown bushes make the sidewalk impassable to pedestrians. I have almost been hit twice—this is a safety hazard...
  • 9 Parlee St Salem 01970, United States - City of Salem
I tripped on the sidewalk in front of 9 Parlee st because there is no asphalt left the people there said they have been asking for it to be fixed for years. Luckily I didn’t fall all the way to the ground, but seriously there is literally no asphalt left the weeds have taken it over. Please repair this before someone legitimately gets hurt.

Not sure why comments are disallowed on, but I wanted to mention the branch in question was ripped off the tree by a tractor trailer truck which backed into Gallows Park after aborting a turn from Hanson to South St.

Violations of the noise ordinance: loud speakers pointed out of the windows blasting music into the streets almost every day.
