Pudgy old man sits at Lappin Park smoking cigars and taking pictures of women. When he puts out his cigar in the butt bin, the hot ashes float through the air and land on the grass. Glasses, shaved head, white goatee. Creepy.
I am seeing rats in my yard running through to my neighbor's. There is an empty lot next to the garage on this street where people dump trash. Seeing rats there too, could be all the construction in the surrounding area as well. Either way I would like to get rid if them. They come out in the day. I won't sit in my patio.
There is an immediate need to grease the swing that screeches all day into the evening now that children are out in the playground. I live across the street and the sound is constant causing me to keep my windows closed. I'd very much appreciate attention to this swing maintenance immediately. Thank you. Roberta Chadis
A committee that is funded with city tax dollars and has several city paid members is actively pursuing and promoting fund raising in regards to a ballot question. This is a clear.violation of MA election laws
There is an abundance of blue insulation board all over Proctor and Pope Sts. that flew out of the Senior Ctr. construction area during the storm onto those streets, into the park on Mansell Parkway, onto people's properties, and along the fencing on the corner of Boston and Bridge Streets. It is everywhere and a true eyesore. It needs to be cleaned up. It is literally everywhere.
The sidewalk between 2a and 4 hazel street is in terrible condition. There are disabled and elderly people that use it and I've witnessed them almost fall several times and complain about it. I've personally tripped over it and twisted my ankle as well from it. Also, in winter, ice pools in the dips/cracks, creating an even bigger hazard. Please fix to keep the sidewalk safe for pedestrians!
Congress St. And Derby Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
I was unsure where to report this. A car with NY plates, the driver opens car door and dumps trash on the street and drives away. Unfortunately this happens often. See picture taken as car was driving away.
There has been a blue van parked on federal street for about 6-8 weeks. We've called the police station already and they said it would be towed, but that never happened. This van hasn't moved in months and is taking up two resident spots. It doesn't even have a resident sticker, it has a visitor pass. It's a Blue Ford Freestar Minivan, license plate 5FT747
Last summer, the city undated the sidewalks on Turner St. it was a long project (it took pretty much the entire summer), but it turned out great. About three weeks ago, a contractor tore up the concrete sidewalk and replaced it with asphalt. This side of the street also had a brick border - which is now gone. The curb is also no longer level. Why does the city allow contractors to do such shoddy repairs? Contractors should be required to return the sidewalk (street, etc) to the condition they found it in. The city spent a lot of our tax dollars upgrading the sidewalks only to allow a contractor to ruin it in just six months. Can we please have this fixed this summer - preferably at the contractor’s expense?
