Notified About

  • 883 Island Dr Alameda 94502, United States - Alameda
Abandoned car in Safeway Harbor Bay lot has been there for weeks.
  • Melrose Ave Alameda CA 94502, United States - Alameda

I have sat on the corner for the last 30 minutes. In under 10 minutes, the last 12 out of 15 cars rolled through or just completely 100% ignored the stop signs including an AC Transit Bus and an official city of Alameda vehicle.

We have children, elderly, and disabled in our direct neighborhood and I am tired of the city saying it takes time to handle these situations. There are a few years worth of complaints about this street and intersection. Our neighbors on Maitland and MeCartney want to see change before someone gets severely hurt.

Our request is: We want speed bumps installed down Maitland and MeCartney to slow the traffic from Harbor Bay Pkwy to Island Drive.

  • 1508 Bay St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda
Across the street from 1508 Bay Street (on the Mastick Senior Center side) there is human feces on the curb and gutter.
  • Alameda 94621 United States - Alameda
The bay trail bike-ped path from the Bay Farm bike bridge around “Mount Trashmore” to the Doolittle/Harbor Bay Parkway intersection is severely overgrown by weeds and wildflowers. As much as 2-3 feet of the path is unusable and blocked, making shared use by pedestrians and cyclists dangerous. Passing oncoming walkers or cyclists is iffy at best.
  • William G. Paden Elementary School 444 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501, United States of America - Alameda
I've reported this several times and each time I get a message that the large TV dumped into the bay behind Paden Elementary School has been removed. Each time I go back to check, the TV IS STILL THERE. Please do not tell me this has been resolved. Either tell me no one is going to pick this tv up or tell me that tv has been removed from bay after it really has been.
  • 3270 Mecartney Rd Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - Alameda
I reported this over a month ago. The area where the bus stop and bus bench has tall weeds growing through the sidewalk cracks. The owner of the adjacent house is NOT responsible for that area. I see him taking care of his own property very nicely. Why is it suddenly so difficult to get simple routine maintenance to happen on Bay Farm? It has never looked this bad in my entire life and I have lived there since half of it was only sand dunes and we dumped our trash at Mount Trashmore!
  • Island Dr Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - Alameda

    1. The median strip continues to be an eyesore to all who enter or live in this area of Alameda (Island Drive). Yes, it has been somewhat weeded, but there is nothing planted that will grow and enhance the median strips. Are there sprinklers installed to keep the strip watered? Why was it allowed to dry up and die? Also, there are no lights on the strip. The trees are there, that is good. However, the bark is not a sufficient cover up in providing an attractive entrance to a large part of our city.
    2. In addition, the same is now true with the median strip on Encinal Ave. from High St to Fernside Blvd. This has been a well groomed strip for many years. Unfortunately, that is not the case now.
    3. Towata Park: This park near the Bay Farm Island bridge has had great care over many years. It was a lovely tribute to a well known and respected family in Alameda. It is now a dreadful mess. Once again dried up and not being cared for.

Please respond ASAP to our comments and questions. Thank you.

  • North Loop Road And Harbor Bay Parkway Alameda, California - Alameda

The southbound approach (North Loop Road) at Harbor Bay Parkway has poor sight distance due to the tall landscaping in the median on Harbor Bay Parkway. The landscaping needs to be trimmed to comply with Stopping Sight Distance standards explained in the Caltrans Highway Design Manual where drivers from southbound North Loop Road should be able to see an object about 3 to 4 feet tall approaching from eastbound Harbor Bay Parkway for a distance of 440 feet (assuming approach speeds of 40 mph).

Also note that this location is within 700 feet of an elementary school and church and should warrant extra attention for potential safety risks.

  • 516-530 Central Avenue Alameda, California - Alameda
Central Avenue needs *regular* street sweeping. There are piles of cigarette butts and all kinds of trash in the gutters. This will end up in the bay for sure - please sweep it up. Thank you!
  • 498 Mcdonnel Rd Alameda 94502, United States - Alameda
I was told the city maintains the Harbor Bay Ferry parking lot. Can we have maintenance pick up the garbage on the walkways in the back of the parking lot and in the parking lot.
  • 1251 Pacific Marina Alameda, California - Alameda
This is a repost of Issue 4150197 (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/4150197) which was closed without being fixed. The section of the Bay Trail that passes by the Encinal Yacht Club is 50% obstructed by landscaping growing out into it, as shown in the attached photo. I reported this back in February 2018 and it was closed in August 2018 when PW Maintenance Jesse posted that Tree skirting was completed by ARPD. But no work was done and the problem is still there. As can be clearly seen in the photo I took the other day the yellow line demarking the centerline of the path is overgrown so less than half the path is available. This makes it unsafe for bicyclists and pedestrians to pass in this area and even difficult for pedestrians to pass when going opposite directions. People have to go off the paved path into the dirt area.
This really needs to be cleaned up and not just blown off as was done in August when it was closed without being fixed. It's only going to get worse, by next year the path will be unusable.

Garbage under Bay Farm Island bridge.
