Stormwater Issue Archived43rd Ave Ne & Cherry St Ne Saint Petersburg, FL, 33703, USA - North East Park Neighborhood AssociationSignificant street flooding every time it rains on Cherry St NE from 43rd Ave - 44th Ave. Standing water on the corner of Cherry St NE & 43rd for several weeks. Large pothole has recently opened up at that intersection.

3900 Bayshore Boulevard Northeast Saint Petersburg Florida - Shore Acres Civic AssociationFor the past several days there has been excessive flooding during high tide on the east side of Overlook Drive where it intersects with Arizona (zip code 33703), as well as in the usual places along Connecticut. This occurs even on days when there hasn't been a heavy rain, as well as days with rain. I am beginning to suspect there is a blockage in the storm drain system that is causing the water to build up in this area. The next time it happens I will upload a photo.

Flooding ArchivedSixth St S Saint Petersburg FL 33701, United States - Historic Roser Park Neighborhood AssociationTwo men almost died last night on Roser Park Drive. With the city channelling all the rain water thru pipes into this creek, it over flows and causes havic not only on the properties on this street, but last night almost ended lives. This needs to end. The road disappears and a fatality is going to happen. Its just a matter of time. Please stop deverting all the rain water into this creek. This is piped in water. Control it or flood some other part of downtown where this water is coming from. Two men were dragged out of this car at 12:3am. And if someone wasn’t driving by they would be dead.

Stormwater Issue/Flooding Archived18 22nd Street South Saint Petersburg, Florida - Grand Central DistrictIt may involve a sewer drainage or leveling issue, but really difficult to tell. Please note that every time it rains, even a small shower, the street floods, specifically on the East side where people park and sometimes cannot get out of their vehicles without stepping in standing water. Most notably from the alleyway to Central Ave. There is also a concern of mosquito reproduction as the water can be standing for days. I have attached photos of the issue which will seemingly be much worse if a severe thunder or tropical storm were to come. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Codes Compliance Archived567 11th Ave S Saint Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Historic Roser Park Neighborhood Association
Guy is living out of a green shed at the back of the property and is constantly bringing junk onto the property like broken bikes and other things.
This is absolutely absurd that the city is allowingbthis to continue like this were people are living out of sheds with no running water or toilet availble to them

Low asphalt spots Archived1108 30th Ave N St. Petersburg, FL - Greater Woodlawn Neighborhood AssociationJust repave 30th because if you drive down any other road you dont see the issues 30th ave N is still having on curb sides. However I don't appreciate getting splashed with water taking the trash out to curb. So please add additional asphalt ASAP. I will mark the road with an X if you need help seeing the standing water? Or look at my pic a day after a little rain. I waited to take pic so the engineers can not say from heavy rain cause you can see the road is dry. Dangerous for cyclists.

Stormwater Issue Archived7400 18th St Ne Saint Petersburg, FL, 33702, USA - Harbor Isle Homeowners AssociationI live at 7400 18th Street NE in Harbor Isle. The lake is being treated by the city for algae. However, i section is not and as of Sunday we have a major algae breakout. The smell is very strong

Codes Compliance Archived3500 6th Avenue North Saint Petersburg, Florida - Historic Roser Park Neighborhood AssociationThe vegetation on this corner is very dangerously overgrown. In order to pull out from the stop sign, it is necessary to inch out into almost the middle of the road. In the past few days I was nearly hit twice. This is an unacceptable hazzard. The residents of the home will watch drivers as they struggle to see and continue to water the overgrown mess. I know someone who almost hit a child on a bicycle recently. This has been reported before, and it was trimmed back. We are in Florida, folks. This stuff grows fast. This mess is a hazard, NOT beautification. It needs to go!

Codes Compliance Archived1133 75th Ave N Saint Petersburg, FL, 33702, USA - Meadowlawn Neighborhood Association
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE HAD TO VIOLATE THE CITY OF ST. PETERSBURG OVER THIS VERY SAME ISSUE IN THE VERY SAME PLACE..
Once again We find the city is not maintaining its own property to the level it requires its citizens to maintain. Canal between the lake at Medowlawn park and 77th Ave has grass that does not comply with city codes that states grass may not be higher then 10". furthermore trees are allowed to grow in the canal blocking waterway that could lead to flooding..
Can someone at the Mayor's Action committee please tell me why city property is not required to be maintained to the same level as citizens of St. Petersburg? If my yard looked this bad you would be fining me $500 per day untill it was corrected. maybe the salaries of the Mayor's Action committee should be docked that amount until the issue is corrected.. It would only be fair.
Maybe Jeff the code enforcer should lose his job for not reporting this....Please Review St. Petersburg's Yard Maintenance Standards
Brochure so it can be understood how landscaping should be maintained. http://www.stpete.org/code_enforcement/docs/YardMaintenance15.pdf
