My yard is filled with mosquitos. My neighbor at 3031 30th Ave N has barrels and barrels full of standing water and the mosquitos fill my yard and make it MISERABLE. Please please please do something. This has been going on for years and you guys can't or won't do anything about it. Thank you
Mosquitoes are already back and they are thick. They were not present for a while during the cold spell. Neighbor has high and low areas in ditch leading out to water. I believe this is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, but not sure. You guys have told us before that there are also tidal water mosquitoes. Not sure what can be done about this, but children get huge welts from mosquito bites. Unable to be outside in short sleeves or shorts for any extended period of time. As soon as we stand still they find us. It's torture. Please help.
The stormwater drains don't drain at the corner of 8th St and 86th Ave N so the street floods every time it rains and the whole intersection is under water in addition to the streets. There are multiple drains and they have been worked on in the past, but it's gotten bad again.
Mosquito infestation in our backyard. The property south of us has standing water and there's a horse barn to the back (East) of our property. Not sure where they are coming from, but my son has over 20 bite marks and my other son is highly allergic.
Every year during rainy season our front and back yard fill up with water. Causing mosquitos and our septic system to back up. There is one drain on Glen Echo North road but our yard doesn’t seem to drain into it.
The storm water runoff does not have proper flow. Our house is in the middle of a stretch of homes, yet all of the water gathers in our ditch. As you can see by the other complaint across the street, this has been an issue for a couple years now. This address has major issues because the surrounding homes have no ditch, so the water all heads to our ditch and works it's way out from there. It is very disappointing that the county spends the money to send crews out here every couple years to spend two days digging, when you should be laying pipe and doing simple maintenance every year. It's also upsetting that to grade the ditch, the county dug NINE feet off of the road into our yard. I will be looking up the easement agreed upon with the next 7 days. Regardless, this open ditch is visually disturbing, is a hazard for children, collects garbage blown around from the industrial area across 28th Street, and DOES NOT FLOW. Please do something about this before homes are flooded which could have been avoided, or someone (especially a child) gets injured. Thank you.
