Notified About

  • 26 Mechanic Street New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East Rock
The Star Supply residential project on State St is starting noisy construction at 7am. They are using a large drill that shakes our entire home at this time as well. Please have some respect for the neighbors who live here and do this work later in the day.
  • 994 State St New Haven, CT 06511 - East Rock

Please have a police officer patrol this lot during the month of December.

Last year there were a number of break-ins here and we just had our first of the season.

  • 17 Nash Street New Haven, CT - East Rock
Once again there were problems at 17 Nash Street, this time with the 2 families that live on the 1st Floor. Police were present around 10:30 and again at 12:30. One of the women went knocking on neighbors' doors at midnight-there are 11-14 people living in this small apartment so its difficult to tell which is which but at least one of the mothers needs needs help. Do social agencies and IRIS read this?? Thank you to LCI and Matt, our trusted alder for their past help with these troubled and very disruptive people. If IRIS and social agencies do not read this, will someone in the know, please post the best emails to contact.
  • 17 Nash Street New Haven, CT - East Rock
12:45 Noisy neighbors at 17 Nash are once again on porch loudly conversing with people in street. They are argumentative when reminded of the time and asked to be quiet.
  • 17 Nash St New Haven, CT - East Rock
17 Nash had a notice on the door last week stating the first floor was unfit for occupancy due to mold. Since then, the fire department was at the dwelling for a broken water pipe on the 2nd floor (I was told). The City Notice of Unfit for Occupancy has been removed, and there are multiple people going in and out of the property; today, we saw a man going in with blankets and pillows. Is anyone supposed to be in there? A window is broken on the front door, we've seen people actually reach into the window and unlock the door and walk in. Is the property condemned?
  • 13 Nash St New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
There is 1 car parked on Nash St near Edwards that is on the odd side, preventing the snow plows from clearing the street completely.
  • 42 Lawrence St New Haven, CT 06511 - East Rock

On Lawrence street, at the intersection with Nash, cars park illegally in the no standing zone. These cars block the vision of drivers and cyclists pulling out of Nash Street.

This is an ongoing issue, with different cars parking there all the time.

  • 17 Nash Street New Haven, CT - East Rock
First, we thank LCI and NHPD for coming out on a Sunday night and removing the illegal occupants on the 2nd floor of the mold-infested house at 17 Nash Street. Unfortunately at least two of the former inhabitants are there this morning, sitting the 2nd floor porch where they can survey the street for police, and they are staying well beyond the time it would take to remove their things. They have left both the front and the back doors wide open, making the house accessible to thieves and squatters. The landlord has not been seen in weeks and has made no visible attempt to secure the house. Will LCI see to it that the house is secure and will NHPD please drive by in unmarked cars? Thank you again for helping with the 9 months of fears and woes that the landlord of 17 Nash Street has caused New Haven and its taxpayers.
  • State Street Station - East Rock
Skateboarders jumping rails, stairs, walkway. Problem for commuters trying to access station.
  • Lawrence And Nicoll New Haven, CT - East Rock
Drivers treat the stop signs on Lawrence at Nicoll and Foster as optional and are constantly driving right through. Police are often sitting on Lawrence at Orange street watching that intersection during rush hours but perhaps would be better served moving a couple blocks down. It is extremely dangerous for pedestrians hoping to cross those intersections.
  • Lawrence & Mechanic - East Rock
Cross walk needs restriping...totallly faded. People are gonna get killed.
  • Broken glass Archived
Nash St New Haven, CT - East Rock
After every garbage collection day there is a pile of broken glass every few feet all the way down the street. There are large and a few small shards of glass which can cause punctured tires. I find myself having to try to sweep these piles up so as not to ruin my tires. Can you alert the appropriate people and get them to remedy the situation?
