As of 6 pm, cars may be parked only on the EVEN SIDE of streets in East Rock, Fair Haven, The Hill, Newhallville, Dixwell, and parts of the Beaver Hills, Edgewood and West River neighborhoods. If you are parked on the odd side, you need to move your car right away so that the plows can come through and so you don't get towed. You can find free parking lots at the city's website.
Branches placed at the curb for pickup after the hurricane according the city's instructions have still not been taken away with normal pickup. I've tried to follow the instructions the City provided and we've had multiple trash pickups with branches left behind. Am I missing something? Though it seems like I'm not the only one.
Mechanic St between Lawrence St and State St is RIDDLED with potholes. This tiny stretch of roadway actually gets a significant amount of vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic, and needs to be repaired immediately. The amount of potholes is really staggering, and I request the City Public Works Dept take a good look at this problem before it results in a pedestrian twisted ankle or bicycle accident.
