  • 2 Howard Avenue New Haven, CT 06519, United States of America - City Point
Car continually parking on sidewalk blocking sidewalk from pedestrians.
  • 77 First St New Haven, Connecticut 06519 - City Point
White Chevrolet van has NO PLATES and has been parked on First St, between Greenwich & Howard Aves for over a year. Should have been registered in CT many, many months ago. Owner is not paying New Haven car tax that’s due. Needs to be ticketed and booted. “Listen, I know you hate waiting at the DMV to register vehicles. Now you don’t have to! Just park your unregistered vehicle at The First Street Illegal Car Zone™ where no one will ever notice that your car doesn’t even have plates!”
  • 70-72 5th Street New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
landlord has been asked multiple times to address no response
  • College Street And Congress Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - New Haven - Ward 03
There is no in-road pedestrian sign at this busy mid-block crosswalk. This crosswalk is very long and pedestrians have quite a distance to cross. I have not seen the in-road pedestrian signs at other busy mid-block crosswalks elsewhere downtown. For the safety of everyone who uses these mid-block crossing, these should be replaced as soon as possible.
    Thanks very much.
  • Tree Trimming Acknowledged
40 First St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
The remaining Stump of a tree that was cut down is rotting and full of insects. It has a utility pole guide wire attached to it. It is getting worse each month.
  • Sea Street New Haven, Connecticut - Hill
Drivers are routinely making illegal left turns traveling northwest on Sea St on to Ella Grasso Blvd. Not only does this hold up traffic through the intersection, a driver behind a left-turning vehicle has to stop suddenly when the car in front stops unexpectedly. I have watched several close calls coming from the other direction, and had my own close calls when drivers don't signal their intentions and just stop to wait to make the turn. There needs to be much more enforcement in this dangerous intersection.
  • South Water Street New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
The "City Point Kitchen" restaurant (South Water Street) has placed a large sign advertising their business blocking the handicapped ramp leading up to the sidewalk.I Have a handicapped family member who lives in this area and resent this lack of consideration for others. Ironically, the restaurant owner is medical doctor! One would think he would know better. Placing the sign on city property is illegal. Blocking a handicapped ramp with a private business sign adds immoral to the mix.
  • Potholes Archived
9 Tower Lane New Haven, Connecticut - Hill
I am a monthly user of this non-paved outdoor lot and there are numerous large potholes at the entrance and throughout the lot that present a hazard to vehicles. In past year these potholes were filled with gravel, but they have not been filled them this year.
  • 65 1st St New Haven, CT, 06519, USA - City Point
tan Mercedes station wagon has temporary marker plate that expired over a month ago. It soon will be replaced by yet another 'temporary' marker plate, as has been done for years now. In the meantime, please ticket this vehicle. >>This is just one of MULTIPLE illegally-registered vehicles on this single block of First St, between Howard & Greenwich Aves. Most (if not all) belong to the first floor tenant of 80 First St. I've been trying to get this taken care of for about a year--with no results. Apparently it's easier to raise our property taxes rather than collect what's due from these scofflaws.
  • 66 1st St New Haven, CT, 06519, USA - City Point
Neighbors report corruption in Transportation, Traffic & Parking Dept. They say Parking Enforcement officer is friends with owner of illegal vehicles on First St—which is why problem never gets fixed. Is this not true? >>THEN PROVE IT—and get rid of these vehicles: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6789012 AND https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6789042 AND https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6789084 ***And I don’t want to hear that “illegal registrations are not dealt with by TT&P Dept”. If that’s so, then act like an actual taxpayer-paid ‘public servant’ and find out who IS responsible for taking care of this problem and pressure THEM to take care of this until the problem is fixed! (I hope the next mayor completely ‘clears the deck’ and hires new staff when he takes office…)
  • 54 Frank Street New Haven, CT - Hill
Car painting and repairs. The smell of the paint is so extreme we have to close our windows. Car body work with electric tools, grinding and sanding. In addition to racing engines into the night and all weekend, along with loud music. This is going on 7 days a week. Please put a stop to this.
