350-370 Greenwich Ave New Haven, CT - City Point
There are always mice and or rats going into the back of those houses starting at # 370. On Garbage day the amount of garbage overflowing is bringing more animals to the street. It's not properly stored in containers, it's overflowing. There is also a strong smell of gas between 350 and 370 Greenwich ave. The strongest around house # 370. And the smell of dog Feces is overwhelming in the same area.

The fire in this building was over two week ago. Having all this trash outside is UNACCEPTABLE at this point.
People have been stopping by regularly to take metal and anything of value from the pile. Along the side of the house is burned up mattresses.
Thank you for your immediate attention this matter.

Car here for two days. No permit. Needs to be towed
  • 167 Howard Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
This is an non-owner occupied property that is in disrepair , dirty and messy. Other homes in the area make good effort at keeping their property in order. This house sticks out like a sore thumb.
On any given day there is a ton of cars and adults & children around, leading me to believe more people than allowed living in the house.
This is the perfect example of a slum lord scenario and it is sad for those neighbors who try to keep things nice and safe.
Anything the city can do to hold this landlord to acceptable standards is appreciated.

Does anyone know what to do with this issue?

My car was hit by a huge chunk of paving stones/debris from the back of a Tilcon truck when they were paving Washington Ave last month.
I pulled over to talk to one of the men in the traffic vests thinking that they were police or worked for the town — but the one I would up speaking with wasn’t. He actually was a contract worker and could barely speak English. I showed him the damage and he told me to “call the town.”

I know of some people who have had the damage to their cars paid for by the town from potholes and other such damage (road debris from the recent tornado also comes to mind). I don’t think it is fair to have to put a claim into my insurance and have to pay my deductible (I may as well just pay out of pocket to avoid the increased premium)!

Has this happened to anyone else? Has the town helped by paying for the damage? If I were to contact the town, who do you recommend I call?

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Please contact the owner of this house and tell them to clean up this trash, that's been in front of their house for weeks. The person who cuts the grass has completely ignored it.

There is criminal activity going on at the corner of Cassius St and Howard Ave. I feel that it is dangerous to go in that area at night.

74 Howard Ave New Haven 06519, United States - City Point
Potholes and broken pavement completely cover the eastbound lane of Howard Avenue. I drive my child and two other children to sound school every morning over that patch. It is a safety hazard

When is the city going to put out that stuff that kills mosquito larva in the catch basins? Usually it's done when they do street sweeping, but it's very evident that it hasn't been done at all this year. You cannot go into your back yard without being eaten alive, and I'm talking about in the middle of the day with the sun beaming down, not dawn or dusk. Me and my neighbors try to keep on top of any standing water but we need the city to do its' part.
