There is a new "No Turn On Red" sign for Rindge Avenue when turning right onto Alewife Brook Parkway. This has reduced flow through this intersection sufficiently to create bad gridlock all of the way back up Rindge Ave at my house, which is 6/10 of a mile. On Wednesday morning it took me 24 minutes to drive the length of Rindge Ave due to this intersection. The sign should be removed to permit better flow out of the city as the alternate path along Mass Ave to Rt. 2 is also badly congested.

It would be great to get city trees planted along side the Harry S Truman apartment complex along Otis st, The stretch between eighth and ninth Street has only one tree and an empty well in front of 186 Otis

    Hi Public Works Team,

I'm a resident of East Cambridge, near the Twin City plaza. I shop for groceries at the Star Market in Twin City plaza, and I walk on the path that runs on the east side of the Simoni ice rink.

This summer, some parts of the parking lot in Twin City plaza was repaved, and now there is a large depression at the end of the path where the path meets the parking lot. When it rains, it forms a very large and deep puddle which is difficult to traverse, especially for seniors or those with kids. I'm worried that in the winter, the puddle will also turn to ice and become a safety issue. I've pasted a map image below to show where I am talking about.

Is this something that public works can help address? Or if not, who should I talk to about this?

    Thank you for your help!

    Sam

They have not shoveled since the snowfall Thursday. Now the sidewalk is dangerous/impassible. And I don't want to hear that enforcement is currently suspended, which is how you dismissed my last complaint (and those of several others). You acknowledge that enforcement was in place on Friday. They did it shovel out after Thursday. You all need to enforce your regulations. That is why we pay taxes.

Sidewalk "no sidewalk bicycling" stencils on Mass. Ave. curb cuts from Shepard/Wendell to Russell/Cogswell are faded or missing & have been for 2 yrs. Ditto for Hvd Sq. No sidewalk bicycling zones should now be extended wherever there are bike lanes in the street. If reply to my early Aug. report exists, I can't find it.

There are two giant potholes on Prentiss Street, in between Harris and Beacon St. in Somerville. Please fill! These will become very bad once winter hits.

This is my second posting regarding this sign. Our street sign which was mounted on a telephone pole was taken down by workers two weeks ago and not put back. It is still missing. Please replace asap. It is the only way people know where our very small street is including postal and delivery services. Thank you

Audible pedestrian signal works but says Arborway and Washington instead of Broadway and 3rd.
  • Mt. Auburn And Holworthy Street West Cambridge, Massachusetts - West Cambridge
Red light at this intersection is still always red and the problem hasn't been fixed. Please put it back to a pedestrian push for walk only, how it was before. Commute is chaotic and it wasn't like this before.
