Comercial bus parked in the street for days at a time, blocking view of on coming cars.

  • Prospect And Foster (Corner Of) Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
I've asked this question a number of times and never get an answer: Why does the person at the corner of Prospect and Foster get to park his truck and trailer on the street every night? There are others around town who do the same thing and I wonder if one can pay a fee for the privilege or do they have friends in the right places. I park on the street overnight once a year and get a ticket every time.

Someone (possibly during winter) ran over the median on South Washington in REO town, damaging the electrical controller and water valve for the watering (?) system. Additionally, two new trees were destroyed. Water is not actively leaking, but I cannot be sure that the system is working normally (I haven't seen the sprinklers on this year yet). In any cases, boxes and trees should be replaced.

Someone from code compliance needs to visit the neighborhood. Some of us keep our yards/ houses in good condition. However there are many code violations on the block i.e. Trash, run down exteriors, unlicensed rentals, abanfoned house with roof falling in, etc. multiple calls to code compliance office gets no results.

    Someone needs to help!

This house is disgusting. There is trash piled up in the back yard and some furniture. There is also a truck that doesn't work in the back yard. They also have two large dogs that they keep in a four foot by four foot cage in the back yard. They are so closed in they are pooping and peeing on each other. Something needs to be done asap.

Toys & trash constantly block use of the sidewalk, grass is uncut (approx. 8'' tall), trash, toys, and furniture are scattered all across their yard and spreads to surrounding neighbors' yards.
This has been posted for nearly a year on this website, and still nothing has changed. The current tenants at this property treat their yard and neighbor's yards like a trash pile and are a nuisance to other neighbors, and the landlord obviously doesn't care. We've had to call the police non-emergency number nearly every week to complain about loud fights (and 911 in one instance of gun shots) in the middle of the night. It's very disturbing to wake up in the middle of the night to a yelling match in front of your house. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Owner blew leaves into the street. Disabled COMMERCIAL Vehicle STILL on property.
  • 1228 E Kalamazoo St Lansing, MI - Lansing
The Kalamazoo St. bike lane is full of gravel, glass and broken car parts ever since the snow melt. I imagine the rest of Lansing's bike lanes are in a similar state. Scheduling bike lane sweepings immediately following the last snow melt will improve safety and encourage more bicycle commuting.

This property has been in disrepair for several years now. Tarps on roof, Tree on roof, overgrown yard. This property hasn't been occupied for several years and it needs to be stepped up in the process of make safe or demolish.
  • 2521 Bedford Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
House's sump pump empties onto the sidewalk creating a slip/fall hazard.
  • 3200-3298 East Kalamazoo Street Lansing, MI - Lansing
I understand that the City of E. Lansing will be resurfacing Kalamazoo St. east of the bridge over the Red Cedar here; haven't heard anyone mention if Kalamazoo west of the bridge is going to be resurfaced which it desperately needs. The potholes and broken up pavement, particularly in the east-bound lane, are really bad from S. Clippert all the way to the bridge.
