Resident called to report that the 2 crosswalks at Richdale and Upland/Mt. Vernon were all shoveled out and the plows completely closed them in again and dumped snow right back onto the cleared s/w near 35 Upland.

Empty loud construction vehicles rattling up and down Concord Avenue at 5am. Can't they use Mass Ave? Waking up residential neighborhood.

As a resident who lives on this street, parking has become impossible during the day. The amount of reserved spaces right now is unfair. Today some company had two sections reserved but still parked their huge trailer in another non reserved section and onto the sidewalk. I live here and can not find parking. This needs to get under control. Why are there so many reserved spots being approved?

  • 1484-1500 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
The pedestrian crossing on the west side Massachusetts Ave. across the right slip lane onto NB Garden St. is uncontrolled, near Dawes Island. Drivers repeatedly fail to yield right of way to pedestrians in crosswalks. Even when some drivers yield to pedestrians, there is always a multiple threat scenario - where a driver in the adjacent turn lane fails to notice pedestrians and yield the right-of-way. I suggest the following safety counter-measures be considered: Rapid Flash Beacon for pedestrians crossing slip lane; raised crosswalk; shark teeth yield marks in advance of the crosswalk; or install a traffic signal (that is coordinated with the Mass Ave. & Cambridge St. signal) that would allow for an exclusive pedestrian AND exclusive right turn phase.

  • Gas Leak Archived
157 Garden St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
There is a strong smell of gas at the corner of Garden ST and Walden ST, right next to 157 Garden. This has been going on for a long time - the odor is powerful and nauseating, and it appears dangerous to have a gas leak right next to houses and a school. When does the city plan to have this gas leak fixed?
  • 11 Wright Street Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
My car got stuck in the snow on Wright Street today - this is 4 days after the storm. This is a recurring issue, and must be addressed. Can you please plow out the street completely.
  • 62 Walden Street Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
During rush hour (between 5pm and 6pm), Walden St. comes to a standstill from Hubbard St. towards Mass Avenue because there is right-hand side resident parking taking effect too early. This blocks the right-turning lane (on Walden St.) towards Mass Ave. Traffic would be severely alleviated if cars turning right would have a longer lane to make use of rather than being blocked by parked cars. If residential parking on Walden St from Richdale St. towards Mass Ave. started at 6pm rather than earlier, it would solve the problem.
  • 42 Langdon Street Cambridge, MA 02138, United States of America - Neighborhood 9
Ok. This is my third complaint. The plowing in Christmas Day was terrible. I get it. It's a holiday. The plowing during and after this storm has been dreadful. It should not take 3 complaints to get a small street decently plowed. Once I receive the notice that the issue has been addressed I go and look. Sadly, there is always a new issue. We have a park/median. We have a place to put snow. The attached photo will show you an issue. The green is the edge of the sidewalk. The blue is all the snow not plowed on the corner at the L of Langdon. I have also already reported the ends of the island being heavy with snow and cars sliding as they try to make a turn. Nothing has gotten better. I get you have a big city and we are a little street but doing it right the first time means not having to keep sending plows back. Thank you for your attention to our street. It truly is appreciated.
