The wooden stair railing leading from Rothlis park to St Peter's park is worn down with pieces of wood sticking out. Needs to be redone or at least sanded down so not hazard to users. Many children have gotten splinters from holding this railing including my own.

Unsafe for wheelchairs and strollers--you must go into the street at an intersection without a stop sign which is very dangerous. The sidewalk is not usable for wheelchairs or strollers and it is hard to even walk over.

From the Sewer separation project, there are 3 trees in gator bags (not planted) that seemed forgotten on this corner. I assume they were supposed to be planted somewhere close by but it has been weeks and one of them even looks dead now (it has been very hot lately). I can find them a home but I prefer to tell you guys in case you have something planned for them, i just don't want all of them to die. Can you please send someone to take a look please? Thanks!!

For a number of years the Langdon Sq park has been neglected. Recently trucks had been driving on the park near Rutland and Langdon St. There had been numerous complaints. I was horrified to find that DPW supposedly resolved this issue by demolishing a third of the park to accommodate easier traffic flow. This small island park is almost 150 years old and had remained virtually unchanged for 60-70 years. Instead of dealing with the large vehicle problem on the park DPW choose to reduce the size of the park. This has now created another set of problems with speeding around the island park, unsafe conditions to sit and access the island park, and the historic character and safe use of the park has been eliminated. Why is the City of Cambridge thinking! This is unacceptable. Please restore the park to original condition and beauty and find another reasonable solution.

Piles of trash left in the driveway since Saturday. It has not been put out for pickup this morning. The tenants have moved out. Starting to smell and is wafting into adjacent building. This is going to become a rodent problem.

  • Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9

This is a new incident related to the same traffic design which caused my previous filed incident, #4680751.

The location is the intersection of Cameron Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue.

Yesterday my wife (in the car) and 3yo son were rear ended turning left onto Cameron Ave from Mass Ave. She was partially turned and was waiting for pedestrians in the crosswalk. The car behind her chose not to wait and rear ended her (gently).

While clearly the primary fault is the other driver failing to yield to my wife's stopped car directly in front of him, the situation was created by encouraging pedestrians to walk simultaneously with encouraging cars to turn. Per my previous incident report last week (4680751) my son and I were nearly run over in the crosswalk due to the same traffic design.

Please eliminate the overlapping timing of the pedestrian signal and vehicle green lights at this intersection.

  • 13-41 Waterhouse St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Neighborhood 9
Some cars park past the "no stopping" sign at 7 Waterhouse Street (though close to the curb) and get parking violations. Others park even further past the "no stopping" sign on the pole, sticking out in the street, and don't. This has been a problem since the traffic calming on Waterhouse Street consumed part of several parking spaces. Is this one parking space or two? Please resolve the confusion with consistent enforcement, clearer signage, or new pavement marking.
