Unsafe Demolition at the Wasted Opportunity Site observed on Friday Aug. 2nd. No hazardous dust management, no water sprayed, dust clouds rising and drifting over the neighboring residences and businesses. Dust likely contains ASBESTOS and most likely LEAD DUST and other contaminants. Serious lack of concern by CITY HALL on all fronts from beginning to sad end. Not even any effort to salvage and recycle architectural elements, beautiful harwood interior elements, etc. etc. A crying shame! Let's see how quickly this posting gets wiped off this site versus many other ignored issues posted here...
  • 2-100 Leslie Rd Bridgeport, CT 06606, USA - Bridgeport
White truck with combination plates but commercial logo for haircuts has been parked on Madison Avenue in the same spot for six weeks!! Has been reported multiple times by multiple residence. Has been red tagged twice by the police – no one ever moves the car, but somebody has taken the red tags off twice. After being red tag twice as abandoned over six weeks, police have still not towed the car. Are they waiting for an invitation!?!?!

Abandoned buildings at Marina Village are attracting vandals and drug traffic. They should be demolished as soon as possible.
  • East Ave Bridgeport, CT, 06610, USA - Bridgeport
know enough that its illegal to ride dirt bikes and Atvs/Quads on city streets. I by no means am tryimg to ruin anyomea fun. However, every Saturday and Sunday 1-3 young men (late teens/20s) ride dirt bikes and a Atv up and down East Avenue for HOURS. They go from the Boston Abe end down to the Barnum Ave end. Up and down, over and over. Its extremely loud, causing car alarms to go off, dogs barking and howling. Thered no way to simply sit outside and enjoy the warm weather# Its a shame that they cannot be ridden at Bpt parks or beaches, but frankly thats the owners issue. We neighbors should not have to suffer. Thank You.

House party in multi-fam parking lot.
    DJ...the works. Called dispatch...no change.
This area is a hot spot for the City's neglect.

These noise complaints are yards from eachother:

This is a boarding house that has too many tenants in excess of its approval. At a neighborhood meeting, neighbors reported suspected prostitution and drug dealing at the house
  • 72 Whittier St Bridgeport, Connecticut - Bridgeport
Several longtime homeowners on this street and Orland have requested that on the grounds of the former Whittier School that the Parks Dept install a Mutt Mitt bag dispenser (for dog waste collection), a garbage can, and a sign on the penalties for leaving dog waste in public. Good example: Nob Hill Park.

I work and live at the Lester Gee Funeral Home which the driveway to enter and exit is located on Colorado Ave. I can not exit out of the driveway safely because this commercial truck is blocking oncoming traffic. I have almost been hit by oncoming vehicles several times. I have had guess who attended a funeral at the funeral home who have had their vehicle hit by an oncoming vehicle while exiting the funeral home parking lot.

Also the owner of the commercial truck is running an electrical plug out of the house window to the front of his engine compartment. He has the electrical wire coming from his yard onto the sidewalk. There is also a red carpet that he has on top of the wire that is going to his truck.( This is visible in the picture )
This is a serious safety issue because I
see children walking to school stepping on the wire.

I have spoken to the owner of the commercial truck and he ignored my request on moving his vehicle.

He has been issued a ticket by the police but he still refuses to move his truck.

The Bridgeport Police need to get control of this street because we have illegal trucks parked on the street and vehicles parked on the front lawn of homes.

  • 1705 Fairfield Ave Bridgeport, CT, 06605, USA - Bridgeport
On the portico of the building and flowing out beyond it are piles of garbage, detritus, and two shopping carts full of filthy items. This is blight and could pose a health risk to the immediate area, including the adjacent city park, as well as the elementary charter school and disabled-persons center across Mountaingrove.

There are at least 2 or 3 boats, 2 landscape trailers, a backhoe, a cement mixer, a bobcat style bucket loader on the property. Starting early in the morning the people come and go hooking up pieces of equipment, creating alot of noise daily. Is there a zoning law about what and how many vehicles can be on a residential property? Can someone please come out and look ?
