I just can't understand why this building and property is allowed to remain in such a terrible state. It is on a highly traveled road and it needs to be torn down and the area cleared out. It is staring you in the face as you enter or exit the Acme Shopping Center. The average homeowner in Ridley would never get away with such deplorable conditions, why has this been permitted to go on for years?
State Rep. Joseph Hackett has asked for a traffic study at the intersection of MacDade and Morton as a result of the tragic hit and run accident that occurred the night of March 10th. The residents on Morton Ave in Folsom have asked for traffic studies for the entire length of the road and have been told that it is a safe speed limit (35 mph in front of Ridley HS)and safe for pedestrian traffic. Rep. Hackett would you please include Morton Ave in your traffic study.
Milmont And Seventh Ave Swarthmore, PA 19081, USA - Folsom
I love children, but this is a nice neighborhood and should not be made a hangout for teenagers. Milmont Pizza produces a delicious, reasonably priced product, but the hoards of students gathering every night are keeping me away. They block the business entrance, are rude, confrontational, and frankly a deterrent to business. I see parents drop their kids here nightly to gather with friends. Please host your children and their friends in your own home/yard. Be responsible! Be respectful!
Homeowner displays an American Flag that is left out 24-7 in the dark (not illuminated), rain, etc. Flag is dragging on ground and is now filthy. Makes the whole neighborhood look trashy. It would be better to display NO flag, than a flag in this manner.
There is a stop sign missing at the top of the hill from Home Depot...trucks and cars now barrel right around the corner into traffic from Wendy's and Applebees. VERY dangerous. Accidents waiting to happen!
The volunteers at the fire house are always out at all hours and many times they are playing with the trucks, the sirens and lights at late hours in the evening making it difficult for my children and I to sleep. They shouldn't be allowed to "play" or test the equipment past 5:00pm.
The Fresh Stop is now chargeing a min 10 bucks to use your debit card. by visa law that was passed in Aug 2010. no store or place that allows visa or debit is allowd to charge a min charge. and when ask to the owner he said oh well. what a jerk i would stop going and take your business somewhere else.
280-298 7th Ave Swarthmore, PA 19081, USA - Folsom
Every weekend drunk and high teens yell, damage property, curse, leave beer cans, etc. The ridley police are too lazy to even stop by the end of 7th ave at high school and stop the kids from drinking on high school grounds and in cemetary. How much more property needs to be damaged and nonsense has to be dealt with by people living on 7th ave? The area is turning into a ghetto filled with trashy people.
901-907 Edgewood Ave Folsom, PA 19033, USA - Folsom
Lazy ignorant humans with no regards to their children or others park illegally everyday. This is one of the reasons for obesity and why children are injured or killed. Wake up and walk a little bit it would help everyone.
Vicinity Of Macdade Blvd And Morton Ave. Ridley Twp. - Folsom
There is a woman, about 60-70 years old, who wanders the area around MacDade Blvd. and Morton Ave. Sometimes she is in the little shopping area by Advance Auto Parts. She approaches people and begins talking incoherently. She seems quite friendly, but is definitely unstable...she will go into the street and begin talking to people in their cars while they are stopped at a light. Last evening in the rain, she stood in the middle of Morton Ave. and nearly missed being hit by several cars! She is thin and about 5ft. tall. She has gray, curly hair. I stopped at the Ridley police station to tell them she was in the street, but it seems there is nothing they can do. This poor lady needs to be looked after....it is a tragedy waiting to happen.
300-364 Arlington Ave Swarthmore, PA 19081, USA - Folsom
they put up a no left turn sign when the swiss farms opened. ridiculous to not be able to turn left anymore - you now have to go down a block and the site line coming out at frankie's steaks is horrible to try to make a left. would be safer just to turn at the swiss farm. get rid of the sign!
