hHere we go again. 701 7th ave resident continues to park in front of a fire hydrant. This is a safety issue that Ridley Police need to correct. The irony here is that there is plenty on space to park legally but this man is too lazy to walk an extra 15 feet. Ridley, do something about this.
People are parking illegally on the corner of 6th and Morton Avenue in front of the no parking sign. I have seen a number of incidents where cars are unable to turn here and almost cause an accident. The people parking there are always going toward the Ridley Community Center for several hours at a time. This needs to be enforced.
i don't quite understand some people in the area (701 7th Ave.) that habitually park in front of the fire hydrant. There is plenty of room on this block but they still insist on blocking the fire hydrant. This is clearly a safety hazard and should be addressed. Another local fire has occured recently and still there is parking in front of the fire hydrant.
It is very rare to find this style of storm sewer grate. It is capable of trapping a bicycle wheel and killing the rider. That is exactly why they have been replaced everywhere else. Ridley, you are on notice now for this hazardous condition. Please fix. (This photo is not the actual grate, but is included just to put the issue in context).
There is a tree that blocks drivers' view of the traffic light at 9th & Morton Aves, up the street from the HS. The homeowner should be made to trim the tree before someone gets hurt, especially now that school will be starting at the end of this month.
