These dumpsters have been overflowing on the street for at least a month now. Calwaste will not pick them up because they are recycling dumpsters filled with trash. The building owner is just letting the trash pile grow. They are also using a street parking space on a street with very limited parking.
BART BoD President Robert Rathburn said the city took on responsibility for this block. Has not been tended in more than a year - ivy growing up trees and over sidewalk. Trees overhang sidewalk and bike lane. Trash accumulating. Many rats.
The stretch of International Blvd between 42nd Ave and Fruitvale has MANY long, linear, deep, potholes that are very dangerous for motorcycles and cyclists. I know that this road is undergoing bigger construction projects but these holes should really be filled before the rains when they will become invisible when filled with water. The stretch past Fruitvale is even worse but is currently undergoing construction so I'll wait to report those once the construction is complete. I've attached one example photo (and it's old so the holes are deeper now) but there are many.
Construction is going on, there is a house being remodeled. That being said the construction crew is blocking the whole entire right side of the street. There is a school there and it’s causing a lot of congestion where there trucks are being parked in a high traffic area. They need to move the trucks somewhere else.
