The street light in front of Boston Family Dental was previously reported to be on a steady, rapid blink. The light was reported to have been fixed just before Christmas, but now the light doesn't work at all. Hasn't been working for a while. Could someone check it out?

I received a ticket for parking in a street sweeping zone. Ticket was issued on the morning of 9/24/2019 at 86 Adams Street. I appealed the ticket and won - the ticket here is not my issue.

My issue here is that there is inconsistent information regarding street sweeping on Adams Street in particular, but I fear this may be a more prevalent problem throughout the city. I want to know how to properly avoid tickets in the future.

According to Malden's list of street sweeping rules (https://www.cityofmalden.org/262/Street-Sweeping) Adams Street, during the time in which I was ticketed, has no street sweeping rules. The rules for which my ticket was applied was the "Fellsway to Highland" rule linked in the image. I was parked between Highland and Pearl Street. Malden's website contains NO street sweeping rules for Adams Street between Highland and Pearl. You can see this via my image and the entire list in the website link above.

Additionally, when I received notice that my appeal had been accepted, I also received a printed out list of the street sweeping rules. Awesome, I thought, except according to that list (which appears to be printed straight off the website I linked) I did not break ANY rules when parking on Adams Street.

Now, all of that said, if I enter the address 86 Adams Street into the street sweeping "app" linked on Malden's website (https://www.cityofmalden.org/232/Street-Alerts), 86 Adams DOES have street sweeping rules. These rules are not confirmed on the main street sweeping page OR on the orange sheet I received with my appeal decision.

The fourth, final, and in my opinion the most important lack of information here falls on signage - there are NO signs on Adams Street between Highland and Pearl that indicate there are street sweeping rules, which seems to coincide with what the main website and the printed orange sheet I received say.

According to all of this information, I would assume that parking on Adams Street, between Highland and Pearl, on any day of the week and at any time would be completely legal. Any ticket received for street sweeping on this portion of the road is null and void, and not legitimate.

City of Malden, what say you?

I am a wheelchair user. I have recently moved to the city of Malden, and now use the T daily to commute to my job at Roxbury Community College. On December 2 and 4, during my commute back and forth, I used the curb cut between J Malden Center at 190 Pleasant Street and the T station at 290 Pleasant street, along with the walking paths to and from, especially those in Circle Park. While much of the surrounding streets and sidewalks were clear, the curb cut and nearby paths were not cleared at all. They were covered except for footprints, sometimes were obstructed by piles of snow, and very nearly caused me to get dangerously stuck when attempting to cross the street. Please ensure that the curb cuts on Pleasant street leading to the T station are clear, and that the at least one of the paths in Circle Park is clear, so that wheelchair-using pedestrians can approach the ramp to the station safely.
