so the area of 381 Pearl st in Malden ma is a mess. Pot holes all over the road. I do not understand why it doesn't get repaired. It really is a terrible mess with holes everywhere. Please fix this road soon
Why has this burnt out building not been condemned by the Board of Health when there are raccoons, squirrels, possums, and who knows what else living inside??? It has been an eyesore for more than 2-1/2 years!!!
30 mile/hr speed limit on Malden St is too high. Traffic has increased due to bottle neck at Medford St and Fellsway. Cars have no restrictions as they see open road straight to Fellsway and constantly speed with no regard to public safety . Considering there is a public park this situation should be given some attention. Is it possible to have police officer from traffic with radar device monitor this situation.
Something needs to be done about morning traffic at this intersection, there is a 4 way stop and no one stops as they are using Malden Street as a cut through. Most of the time the cars are traveling North on West Street and taking a left to turn West bound on Malden Street and they roll through the stop sign. I’ve almost been hit and there are a bunch of kids that walk to school in this neighborhood. Malden Street should be a do not enter from 7-9am Street and there should be a police officer there a few mornings a week issuing tickets, the city would make a fortune from all the failed stops. This is a dangerous issue.
There is a huge issue at the end of Chester street you can not take a left turn onto Russell Street anymore with all the cars parking right up to intersection. I was told by my neighbors that it used to be no parking I think signs need to be put back up. If a emergency vehicle ever had to get through it will never happen. I see tickets on the cars once in awhile so obviously it's a problem please fix.
Is it possible to have speed limit signs put up on Charles St? People are driving down this street extremely fast. There have been numerous accidents over the past few years. Hopefully, speed limit signs will deter future accidents, and possible fatalities.
Pearl Street continues to be very dangerous with speeding cars. I thought we would have seen more enforcement, but the problem persists. Maybe a flashing sign that indicates how fast cars are going would help. Clearly no one observes the 25 MPH speed limit. There is going to be a bad accident and it is only going to get worse as traffic increases due to all the building/casino, etc. in our area.
Cars are speeding through the do not enter sign every morning and afternoon to try and cut off traffic. The residents on the street have placed an addition do not enter sign in the middle of the street but people love to drive right around it. This is a huge safety issue due to the fact that at least 6-10 children are outside that area playing together on a daily basis. The city came out and put do not enter signs on the corner but they are so far away from the corner that maybe drives can’t see them. Its extremely unfortunate but its only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or even worst killed. The community is sick of it and have started walking in front of the cars to stop them and make them turn around. This is also unsafe and has led to many altercations. Police have been called in the past but because its on the malden medford line no one wants responsibility. This area where wicklow st meets Charles is however 100% malden. Maybe we can get something done soon please, before the unthinkable happens.
